Stay: Oct 1-Oct 8 2023. We had been in email communication with the concierge staff with many questions and they always responded very quickly. We never felt any question was too silly. Right from the moment we stepped into the lobby we felt welcomed. The hotel is lovely and very cozy. Our first contact person was Richard and he was so calm and charming. We were allowed to freshen up in their lobby washrooms as our room was not ready (we had just arrived from CDG airport at 10:00 am). Our luggage was stowed away and we received several recommendations of places to sit and eat a little something very close to the hotel. Everything is so close to this hotel. There is a bakery, a fruit & vegetable market, a butcher shop, many cafes and bistros and fine dining restaurants. The metro is very convenient and because the hotel is so close to the Eiffel Tower it is easy to find your way back! All roads lead to the Eiffel Tower (or so it seems). Our favourite recommendations for places to eat: Vin & Maree (Seafood), Chez Pippo (Italian/Pizza), Le Campanelle (French Bistro), Le Roussillon & Comptoir des Fables. All are within walking distance to this hotel. We used Viator Tour Groups for our excursions to: The top of the Eiffel Tower, a city bike tour, Le Moulin Rouge, Versailles, and our favourite excursion was a Foodie Tour of Montmarte district! We visited the Louvre and Musee D'Orsey, and the Cimetierre du Pere-Lachaise on our own, but would recommend a guided tour as it was very crowded and difficult to navigate to see the most popular exhibits and it would have been beneficial to hear about the history of the cemetery and visit notable tombstones. The room we had was Room 15, a Poet's Room. It is small, but very well laid out with a very comfortable double bed and bathroom. A word of advice, travel very light with a well-coordinated wardrobe because the closet is very small and no drawers to lay out things. We found we could stash our carry-on suitcases in the closets if we put the suitcases upright on their wheels. You are there to see the sights, not hang around your room! We found that it was quite stuffy and warm during the night and so we let the A/C run at night. It was so quiet that we didn't hear it, but you can feel the coolness. They kindly provided spa-like slippers. The toiletries are L'Occitane, a very luxurious brand of personal care products. A continental breakfast is available for a daily fee. And it seemed to be very substantial: granolas, fresh fruit juices, fresh coffee/espresso, milk, cream, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, croissants, baguette, cheese, charcuterie, dried fruit. We found it absolutely perfect for us to get us going about our day. We used the Batobus every day! It is the aquatic version of the Hop-On, Hop-Off buses without having traffic jams. We also walked everywhere, even all the way to Montmatre arrondissemont for our foodie tour and back! Do ask the concierge for suggestions of where to go, what to see, where to eat, how to travel to the airport!!! Richard, Arnaud and Adrien are fantastic hosts and ambassadors to Paris. Our room was always cleaned so immaculately every day. The ladies who set out the breakfasts were so friendly that their cheerful 'Bonjours' were just a lovely send-off for your day. We would gladly come back again and definitely recommend Hotel de Londres Eiffel. Merci Beaucoup, Team...
Read moreThis is my family’s second time staying at Hôtel de Londres Eiffel and it likely won’t be the last. This time we even brought along more of our family because we loved it so much the first time. We absolutely adore this small hotel and their staff. This time around Arnaud checked us in and gave us a great orientation for the area and things we can do in Paris during our stay. He was so welcoming and really made us feel taken care of. The map the hotel provides is valuable as it lists restaurant recommendations and so much more. During check in we also met Adrien who was also so kind. One day hopefully we will meet Samba!! The hotel is small so don’t bring huge suitcases to be comfortable navigating around in the room. No need for large wardrobe since the hotel is conveniently near lots of laundromats. We chose the connecting rooms which was perfect for four of us. The rooms are efficiently designed with everything you need even in a smaller space, and always so clean. The beds are comfy that after long days of walking around, we would always have the best sleep. The TV, though you likely won’t use much since Paris is for exploring, even allows you to connect to your phone for streaming. In the rooms they even managed to fit in a small fridge to keep water cold. There is also a desk + chairs, and kettle for tea/coffee. I think they may have recently updated the bathrooms and it looks even more modern now. The l’occitane bath products always smell so nice and I like that now the shampoo and body wash is in the bigger containers, making it more eco-friendly! They offer a delicious breakfast in the morning and the dining area is always clean and beautifully set up. In the night, we got to have coffee and stay chatting in the dining area. The bookshelf there had lots if interesting books too. I think it was Pierre during that night shift and he was so diligent in ensuring we were comfortable and was working hard setting up for the next day. On top of the wonderful room and the staff, logistically, this hotel is simply a great option. It’s near metro and bus stops, laundromats, restaurants, shops for souvenirs, and of course La Dame de Fer is just a few steps away.
TLDR: 10/10 would return and would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Friendly, clean, great location- what else could...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt taken care of. Every single staff member we interacted with throughout our 8-day stay was absolutely cordial and helpful. Check-in was easy and Adrien took time explaining the area and he assured us someone would always be around to help us with anything at all we may need. The hotel’s location could not be better. Plenty of shops around where you can find anything you may need. There is a plethora of eating options within easy walking distance, from pick-up-and-go bakeries to Michelin-starred restaurants. Also within walking distance is the Eiffel Tower, a good Metro station (École Militaire), the train station that takes you to Versailles, the adorable Rue Cler, among many many others. Anybody at the front desk (we had the pleasure of interacting with Adrien, Richard, and Pierre) will happily provide you with expert directions, tips, recommendations, etc. We truly felt they could have helped with just about any request we may have had. Richard even put together a perfect basket with everything we needed for a memorable picnic at the base of the Eiffel Tower. Food, snacks, wine, and anything else we needed for our picnic were readily available around the corner. The shared breakfast area was extremely convenient and we used it a few times to eat things we had purchased elsewhere.
Our room (with an unforgettable view of the Eiffel Tower!) was always clean. The rooms are certainly compact as others have mentioned, but my wife and I (along with 2 large pieces of luggage) enjoyed 8 perfect days without issue. The room feels cozy and inviting, the bed is comfortable and precisely what we needed after a full day of enjoying magical Paris, and every inch of the room is maximized for comfort and enjoyment. Again, the space is limited, but we never felt cramped or obstructed.
Overall, this is a wonderful, cozy, charming hotel staffed by absolutely professional, charismatic, helpful people who want to ensure you have a beautiful time in Paris. We would happily stay here again upon our eventual return. My only complaint was being unable to meet the doggie....
