At Marie Edith’s, you won't find hamburgers—only authentic French traditional dishes prepared by a dedicated team. Marie Edith herself is charming, always present to welcome guests at what truly feels like a family restaurant. She serves the finest in French home cooking to local residents and those nearby for business meals Those that appreciate finding fine fresh, home-cooked meals. The menu features daily specials too, « on the ardoise » with additional unique offerings at a little extra charge. We particularly enjoyed a wild mushroom starter followed by slowly cooked dishes with delicious sauces. The oeuf à la neige and tarte tatin are our favorites whenever we take friends for an enchanting and memorable meal, all at very affordable prices. This delightful experience merits a reservation, especially during peak seasons. You can find HER Restaurant just off Boulevard Grenelle on...
Read moreMy family and I came to have a good dinner however the service was terrible. I called ahead of time and made a reservation. Over the phone the server I was talking to had a very bright and inviting voice. Everything was fine until we walked into the restaurant.
One of my family members had heard one of the servers tell the kitchen that a group of Chinese came in. First, what.. and second, we are not Chinese..
He would nonstop cough in our direction. We were in the corner of the restaurant and that male serve would not cough anywhere else but beside us.
Whenever I would call for a server I was blatantly ignored on multiple occasions. The woman server knew that we could not speak French fluently and when I asked for an English menu, she gave us the drink menu. After asking the second time, we finally got the English menu. We knew there was an English menu because it was posted outside the restaurant.
When trying to order, the woman would not take our order and kept on subtly dodging us as if we wouldn’t notice.
When leaving the restaurant the servers had very bright voices asking if we didn’t like the menu and saying “bye bye”. Very different from how they talked to us when we came into the restaurant and during the ordering process. Don’t come here. I never make google reviews bc it’s a hassle but today was the worst. This restaurant ruined my...
Read moreWhile out and looking for a nice restaurant with my wife, 3 separate people recommended this local spot. Called ahead and asked if they had a table later in the evening and we got lucky they did. It had a hole-in-the-wall vibe and felt very cozy inside and a friendly hostess sat us and immediately recommended the Foie gras. Glad she did, it was outstanding. The recommendations for Wine were perfect as well. I had the squab which was single handedly the most delicious and perfect dish I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend it enough and the potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection as well. I have not had such a perfect dinner and it’s a place to truly wow yourself and someone special. It’s already a fond memory and a place I will be hurrying to once I’m back in Paris. 10/10,...
