I am utterly speechless. Never have I ever, in my whole while, seen such a terrible and scammed establishment. And I say this as someone who has seen everything at this point; I have been from the most luxurious Michelin star winning establishments to downright cheap takeaway food stops with zero disregard to customers or food; but those were even a million times better than the ‘Farnesina’.
I had to leave to the UK the next day for my studies, so me and some friends decided to have a nice dinner in this ‘lovely looking’ Italian restaurant near la Concorde, where it is said that some celebrities have their dinner dates. Upon arriving, the staff did not even notice our presence (we were four) and completely ignored us until one of us had to forced themselves to make their presence known. After that, we waited around 20 entire minutes just for the waiters to come and get our orders, and on top of that, we had to ask AT LEAST five times for some bread and butter, which is the most natural thing to have as appetisers in France, BTW it came by the END of our dinner (instead of the very beginning). And the place was nearly empty and had enough staff, so it wasn’t the case that they were understaffed or had a lot of customers to deal with.
When our orders finally arrived after an ENTIRE HOUR of waiting, and yes I recorded their serving time, I became stupefied by the sight of the Pizza al Tartuffo Nero’ that I ordered. Just so sad. It was basically a piece of bread with some average cheese and some truffle topping. No tomato sauce, no meat/vegetables or anything else. Just a cold cheesy bread with some truffles. And this was €45, that much for just a sad excuse for a Pizza, I was almost in tears for such as sight. To make it worse, it arrived cold and was so flavourless that no amount of salt, pepper and olive oil that I added could make it tasteful.
Usually, when the food and service are this bad, I post a review on TripAdvisor or Google Maps, and that is exactly what I did. Imagine what happened 10 minutes later. This lady, who I assume was the head of the restaurant, had the AUDACITY to come to our table, shout at us for making a negative review, and just making a scene for the whole restaurant to see. Usually, when the customer is not pleased with the food/service of an establishment, the restaurant tries to make them feel better and expressing sincere apologies for the bad experience by offering some dessert, coffee, free meal, etc. But no, here they just do not accept any bad reviews against them and try to confront you in a VERY aggressive way if you do.
The rest of the evening was even worse, as this lady had already embarrassed us in front of the whole restaurant just became of her failure of being a good staff member, we could not enjoy anything anymore, we paid the bill (which was around €400, for just a main dish each with some light drinks) and left the place in utter disbelief of the terrible experience we had just went through.
TL;DR, if you are truly hungry, and expect some decent customer service to a degree, DO NOT GO HERE. Do not make the same mistake that I made by deciding to spend a lovely dinner here, the staff are extremely rude and aggressive, and the food is disgusting...

From the moment we stepped into Farnesina, we knew we were in for something special but our expectations were completely surpassed.
The ambiance is effortlessly elegant yet warm, with a cozy atmosphere that perfectly blends Parisian charm and Italian hospitality. But what truly made our evening unforgettable were Ariel and Alessandro two of the most attentive, charismatic, and genuinely kind servers we’ve ever encountered.
Ariel greeted us with such warmth and professionalism, instantly making us feel like VIPs. Her attention to detail, thoughtful recommendations, and natural ease elevated the entire experience. And Alessandro? Equally impressive his passion for hospitality, knowledge of the menu, and friendly charm made us feel like old friends sharing a meal rather than guests at a restaurant.
The food? Impeccable. Every dish was crafted with care flavorful, beautifully plated, and made with the kind of authenticity that transports you straight to Italy. From the appetizers to dessert, it was clear this kitchen doesn’t cut corners.
We’ve dined at some incredible restaurants throughout Europe, but Farnesina stands out not only for its cuisine but for its heart and that heart is clearly reflected in the service.
If you’re in Paris and want a memorable dining experience, don’t miss Farnesina and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Ariel and Alessandro, you’re in for a five-star night.
Bravo to the entire team we’ll be recommending this gem to...
Read moreMy first time here at this beautiful , clean and inviting restaurant, I was welcomed with a colleague by the very friendly and smiling staff, who couldn't do enough to accommodate our needs. We arrived without a booking which didn't cause any problems, and was immediately seated in a nice quiet area, along with the sun shining was even offered a space outside on there lovely terrace. The food was delicious, tasty and fresh which complimented the service. I would highly recommend the mozzarella & tomato as a starter which we both indulged in and was surprised when they brought out a fantastic traditional mini cooked garlic , oil and herb pizza dough. Which was plenty for two people and tasted even better as it was complimentary. I chose the chicken Millinese which again I would recommend & my collegue opted for another starter of minestrone & vegetable soup. I would highly recommend this place to any visitors or indeed natives to France and Paris, and will look forward to visiting again on my return to this...
