Minicafé Île Saint-Louis - coffeeshop, matcha and cookies — Restaurant in Paris

a tiny café for a tiny island! absolutely adorable and unique neighborhood spot in very stylish surroundings. espresso drinks, hot chocolate, pastries, everything here has been delightful, served with great warmth and attention to detail. with its minimalist wood finishes, the hole-in-the-wall coffee shop evokes a summer retreat that’s squeezed in between the bistro on the corner and gift shops along rue des deux ponts.

I was excited to see dirty matcha latte on the menu, but was underwhelmed. Perhaps I’ve been fortunate enough to have lots of really good matcha and dirty matcha lattes in Asia, in comparison, their matcha was mellow, the coffee flavour didn’t really come through and the drink was really frothy. They serve good coffee :) As you can understand it from the name of the cafe it’s a small place but it’s okay because you take away your coffee and enjoy the open air at Ile Saint-Louis.
