Unacceptable behavior from security and dismissive management
I’ve lived in Paris for four years, and this was the first time I’ve experienced such appalling behavior from security staff at a bar. I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and what was supposed to be a joyful evening turned into a frustrating and humiliating experience.
Upon arrival, the bar was extremely crowded. After leaving my coat and grabbing a beer, I started heading upstairs. While navigating through the crowded staircase, a security guard abruptly yelled at us not to stop on the stairs. Despite doing our best to move, there was simply no space. When I pointed this out, the guard became unnecessarily aggressive, shouting at me to move. When I calmly questioned his tone and behavior, he doubled down, becoming more hostile. My male friends stepped in to ask what the problem was, at which point the guard told me to stay quiet, claiming he wasn’t speaking to me.
Things escalated further when another security guard arrived and insisted I accompany him outside. I agreed but only after retrieving my coat, which I was pressured into doing quickly. My friends joined me to ensure I wasn’t left alone, but even outside, the situation didn’t improve. The so-called “manager” of the security team refused to listen to my side of the story and only sided with the guards, who stood there intimidating me. His tone was equally aggressive and dismissive.
This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. I have never had issues with security at any other venue in Paris. The tone used with me was clearly different from how they addressed my male friends, which added to the discomfort. For a bar of average quality, this level of hostility and unprofessionalism is completely unwarranted.
I will never return to this establishment, and I strongly discourage others from visiting if they value being treated with basic respect...

Had a horrible time. I would rather boil my own feet in lava than go back to this place.
I think there was more urine on the dance floor than bottles of alcohol behind the bar.
When my friends and I tried to order drinks, the bartender ignored us in favor of serving a group of men who arrived after us. It was obvious we were not a priority, and our presence was barely acknowledged.
The atmosphere was even worse. The crowd was overwhelmingly aggressive and inappropriate.
Several men made lewd comments and tried to touch us without consent, and when we reported this to the security staff, they did nothing to help. In fact, they seemed to find the situation amusing and told us to “lighten up.”
Took us over an hour to get my jacket back plus another half an hour in the queue. Then the security had to try and help us get it back. They were as useful as Steven Hawking sat in a regular chair.
The only good time I think I had was leaving… the music was decent too.
WILL NEVER RECOMMEND, AVOID...
Read moreHonestly it's really cool before midnight but I think at some point they need to stop letting more people in if people aren't going out because there was literally no space and people were just pushing each other around... Moreover, they should be a bit more selective with the people they let it; there was this really old tall bald man that just kept pushing people harshly, he fought with another group of girls before and at some point he also elbowed and pushed (with the intention of actually hurting people instead of just passing by like the other people) me and then my friend a second time, and when I told him to be careful he wanted to physically fight with me (a 23 year old girl), luckily there was a group of guys next to us that pushed him away before he did anything but honestly there was no need for the agression and we really didn't know what to do after...
