Pizzeria Da Lucia — Restaurant in Paris

I had high hopes for dinner at Da Lucia but it wasn't quite what I had expected. The atmosphere was strange, with no music, and the door wide open which caused traffic to loudly echo around the room.

The owner was friendly, but a bit pushy about the specials menu. We eventually ordered the most expensive pizza and it was a bit of a let-down - the base and crust had a mass-produced quality (although I’m sure they make the dough in house) and the sauce wasn't very flavourful.

Absolutely lovely little pizza place. We showed up with 21 people which was no problem. The owners were super friendly and excited and were joking around with us the entire time we were there. The food was absolutely delicious, pizza was perfectly balanced in all aspects. Big shoutout to the owner taking a picture with the group after we finished paying (bill split 21 ways, took a bit of effort) and him and the other people were just a great sport about all of it. First time to Paris and found these reviews to be accurate. Visiting from Texas, USA and both pizzas were amazing. You don’t expect places to speak English but this waiter did and was so kind. 21 years in the pizza business and this restaurant is the oldest in the area.
