Disappointing Experience – Proceed with Caution⚠️

I visited Rasna Restaurant in Paris with high hopes of enjoying a taste of Indian cuisine. The service during my late-night order was friendly, which initially set a positive tone. I ordered butter chicken, naan bread, paneer curry, and several other chicken dishes. Although the food initially appeared to be tasty, the very next day I suffered from severe upset stomach, vomiting, and loose motions—symptoms that completely ruined the rest of my trip.

I did not consume any other food that day, and I firmly believe that something was amiss with the meal served at Rasna. I attempted to contact the restaurant to share my concerns and seek clarification, but unfortunately, I received no good response.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend dining at Rasna if you are looking for a safe and pleasant meal. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

Please note that this review reflects my personal experience and is intended to serve as a caution to other my Fellow friends….

Stay away...

Whoever reading this review, please don’t go to this restaurant, they serve old food and you will be in big trouble. We were in Paris for 4 days to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and after first day we ordered food from this restaurant since we were craving Indian food a lot.We ordered butter chicken , chicken tikka masala , naan etc and we all shared everything and ate.Food looked and tasted good and we didn’t feel anything wrong.Same day night I started vomiting and next day morning one by one all 4 of us were down with either vomiting or upset stomach. We stayed next 2 days at hotel, couldn’t go out.Symptoms stopped after second day but still we weren’t feeling like eating anything other than fruits.Luckily we didn’t give this food to my daughter and she was absolutely fine. My husband called them over phone ,the guy told he will speak to his manager and call back and obviously no calls until today. So guys please don’t buy food from them. It will spoil your health and also...

Disappointing Experience at Rasna

We were really looking forward to a comforting Indian meal, but Rasna turned out to be a big letdown. From the moment we sat down, things felt off — they didn’t even provide proper plates or cutlery. We had to ask multiple times just to get basic things.

The naan was especially disappointing — it came out with a hole in the middle and was half raw. We expected soft, fluffy bread but got something barely cooked. The curries, to be fair, were decent — nicely spiced and flavourful — but that was the only redeeming part of the meal.

Service was almost non-existent. Just one overwhelmed person seemed to be running the entire restaurant — taking orders, serving, cleaning, everything. It felt chaotic and unprofessional, and we waited far too long for even the simplest requests.

Would not recommend unless things drastically improve. Paris has plenty of better...

To start, we ordered the pani puri and tandoori paneer. The pani puri were crispy and filled with a flavorful potato mixture, while the tandoori paneer was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For our main courses, we tried the butter chicken, chicken changezi, lucknow lamb curry, and daal makhni. All of the dishes were well-spiced and flavorful, and the meat was tender and succulent. The only slight disappointment was the dessert. The kulfi was a bit grainy, and the gulab jamun were too sweet. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience, which was excellent. Rasna is a great place to go for a delicious and authentic Indian meal. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of India in Paris.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Paris. In southern Paris, the 15th arrondissement, on the calm rue de la Croix Nivert lies this gem. The wide range of the menu instantly transports you to various parts of India, whether they are the street food chaats inspired by Calcutta and Mumbai, the butter chicken, Changezi chicken (unmissable !) and paneer butter masala from the streets of Old Delhi or the biryanis and deserts of Lucknow. The naans and flatbreads are always fresh out of the tandoor and the drinks are on point. Inviting vibe, clean setup, fresh ingredients and amazing value for money. The sensory overload of this delightful culinary experience is addictive and not to be missed whenever you're on this side of the city !

We were in Paris from March 14-18 and wanted to try out as many Indian restaurants as possible. Our visit to this place, after reading the reviews was expected to be exciting, but guess what, It turned out to be the most disgusting experience. I had a repulsive feeling upon entering the place. The decor is dated and kind of sad. The chairs are faded. The rotis that we got had raw flour. We had to return those and the others that came were slightly better, but still improperly baked. The dishes were not great. He had put in big brances of coriander which weren't too appealing. After this experience, we abandoned our idea to visit other restaurants and stuck to the one we liked before.
