What a wonderful local bistro! We’re so glad we found this place during our stay in Paris, and we ended up visiting twice within 6 days.
On our first night, after a 15hour flight and we discovered this bistro just around the corner. It was a quiet Wednesday evening around 930 in the middle of summer holidays, and we honestly didn’t know what to expect.
The owner (who spoke little English but was incredibly kind and welcoming) came over and recommended a few dishes. We followed his advice and had the boeuf bourguignon, salade niçoise, and escargots , all were absolutely delicious. Fresh ingredients, generous portions We wanted dessert but were simply too full!
We enjoyed it so much that we came back a few days later. This time, the atmosphere was livelier with a big birthday group, 18 boys but it was still easy to chat and enjoy ourselves. The same two people were running the floor .
We ordered the tomato mozzarella starter, then mains of beef tartare and duck confit. The beef tartare was amazing , finely chopped to a paste-like texture, silky, spreadable, and beautifully balanced in seasoning. The confit duck was very good, but honestly the potatoes stole the spotlight: rich with butter and garlic, so good that I wiped the plate clean with bread.
A cozy, authentic neighborhood spot with great food, warm service, and a true local vibe....
Read moreToday is my first time travel to France Paris and look for some local foods to enjoy after flight. However, I never spend a time to write a review after a poor dining experience for food quality. Is not about the staffs who are kind and helpful but the food , sorry…to be honest is terrible. The bread was cold…even they dont reheat it by oven. Then, I ordered a beef and duck dishes, looks fine but the beef was not tender with no flavour !! Just like braised with water and some herbs (Thyme..etc) only !! Super toooo light flavour….And the duck was soooo dry which is overcooked not crispy not juicy and all dishes is not hot enough. I strongly strongly advise the chef taste the food after cook and before serving. Is all about passion and food of respect. Even the price was pricy which is €27.90 each for beef and duck leg with this quality. I expected for good foods with that price and expected good foods always in Paris. I’m from HongKong, hopfully the coming days will be better.

Read moreOur recent visit to Le Dôme proved to be a letdown, particularly concerning the discrepancy between pricing and the actual dining experience. At €28, the duck confit was priced as if it belonged to a fine dining establishment, yet the overall ambiance was decidedly casual, resembling an American bar/restaurant. This misrepresentation of the dining concept extends to the quality of the dishes themselves. The duck confit was significantly overcooked and dry, devoid of any flavor beyond an excessive saltiness. Similarly, the €18 burger, while palatable, was of a quality one might expect from a casual takeaway, certainly not from a restaurant charging premium prices. The lack of culinary execution and the incongruence between cost and experience make it difficult to recommend Le Dôme for those seeking either value or a refined...
