STREET FOOD ORIGINAL — Restaurant in Paris

Possible scam with one of the employees. I paid for a burger in cash (20€ for a 8€ burger) and was told to sit down and wait without my change. Thinking it would come eventually, I didn't worry much. My mistake. When the food was ready I was asked to pay again and I reminded him that I had paid and need my change too. Very kindly and calm. He blew up, saying I was wrong and that he didn't take money from me but did absolutely nothing to check. After checking my bad and pockets that I really didn't have the 20 euros I remember giving to him we argued for about 5 minutes before he said he would check the cameras. He called his boss (I imagine) saying that he was going to call the police when the camera showed I didn't pay. While on the phone for a minute he said that he couldn't see the footage until this evening? And afterwards say he did see me not pay? It wasn't clear to me or the other patron who was fluent in French. Shortly after the call he said to come back tomorrow to see the video and I promised to, offering my contact information and requesting their bosses information. He refused both and gave me my change. I got indigestion from the food or anger, I don't know. Really wasn't worth a cheap burger. I left a reservation for the time I would arrive with a note detailing the reason for my visit so they could be prepared but when I called ahead of coming they was a different person there who had no idea what happened. He said that he's sorry for the other guy and that he's apparently crazy. He said that they value customers, yada yada... When asked if this "crazy" guy still works there. He said yes but that if I came again he would be there instead of him? Like he could guarantee it? Never going back, extremely disorganized, possibly fraudulent. It's probably a foodie secret that if you want great food, you need to get out of the primary thrufare or main streets and get to side streets and gullies which it turned out to be true in this case. Went with the family for a sit in dinner after visiting 'Arc de triomphe'. It was a 10 min walk and shop's sitting arrangements begs improvements. But, man the food was quite great, tasty and warm. We ordered few things across the menu like pesto panini, arrabiata pasta, omelet, fries and home made Thiramusu. They got lot of food options. Food was somewhat quick given there were only 2 people, one taking orders and one cooking in the kitchen, it's a small place with seating for only upto 10 or 12 folks.... I'd give more for service. We had a really lovely time at Street Food Original. It’s a small, cozy place with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual break during the day. We tried pizzas with both red and white sauces, as well as crepes, and everything was fresh and tasty. The fresh orange juice was a nice touch, and the coffee was just what we needed.

What really stood out was the peaceful, friendly vibe and how affordable it was. We were honestly surprised, for a group of five, we paid around 12–13 euros per person and left absolutely full.
