A restaurant at this height displays contempt for its customers, ironically the restaurant is awarded a star by Guide Michelin. We are used to gastronomic restaurants around Paris and other suburban areas, but this has been our worst culinary experience we ever had before, without denigrating the food. However, don't expect Japanese fever on your plate but rather typical french cuisine...
When it comes to customer service it's deplorable, dishonest and distasteful - as low it can get. Let me explain. At first, the restaurant mistakenly billed our table with an extra-glass of wine, which was refunded in cash on the spot after we made them notice. When we double-checked the bill, we realized another mistake had crept into the bill - again. As a matter of fact, we had a check of 119€ of Wonderbox, of which only 69€ were taken into account, overcharging us by 50 euros from the total amount. They said to write them an email the following day - which we did. After countless phone calls, the customer service responded weeks later justifying the overpayment by adding another bill from ANOTHER TABLE and shamelessly refusing to refund the difference ! It's an utter distaste from this type of restaurant - there is no other word.
At this point it's unclear if the restaurant is insistingly unable to resolve a situation or has a custom of swindling their clients.
You better watch carefully your note before proceeding payment if you think to welcome yourself in...

————————— I had a very disappointing experience at La Scène Thélème, and I feel it’s important to share what happened – 【especially for non-French visitors】.
During my lunch, no wine menu was shown. The waiter simply asked if I wanted wine, without any mention of price, quantity, or options. I assumed it was a part of the menu. At the end, I was shocked to find €43 added to the bill just for wine I never knowingly ordered at that price.
What upset me most is the strong feeling that I was treated this way because I’m a foreigner. It seemed like the staff assumed I was rich, didn’t need price details, and would just accept whatever was brought to the table. This kind of stereotyping and lack of transparency is not acceptable in any restaurant – and especially not at a Michelin-starred one.
I’ve dined at many high-end restaurants in France and have never experienced such a lack of respect or clarity.
I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously. Transparency and equal treatment are the minimum every guest deserves – regardless of...

The restaurant is very inviting with the tables well spaced out, you’re made to feel very welcome.
We were offered champagne- a choice of two, came with a trio of appetisers to complement.
The maitre’d explained the 7 course menu which we had decided on, the sommelier next and we went for the pairing.
Next the amuse bouche - lobster based with other ingredients- and wow, I turned to my son and said if this sets the tone we are in for treat. What followed was sublime, vegetables, fish (monkish and more lobster) pigeon all wirh sauces or vinaigrettes with miso, sesame or yuzu to name but a few. It was a sheer delight to taste the Japanese and French fusion or inspired blending - a true culinary journey on the palate.
Then a pre dessert and dessert of sublime quality, again accompanied with well chosen alcohol, a peach dessert wine. To finish a gift from the pastry chef (the chef/patrons wife) To which we issued a challenge to the sommelier … with yuzu, low in alcohol but packed with flavour.
All courses were absolutely amazing - could we decide a favourite … yes all of them !
If you can, take the wine paring, it takes the meal to...
