Tandoori Lafayette — Restaurant in Paris

I really had a bad experience 2 days ago with this resturant. I took Chicken biriyani and there was no salt or spices in it. I mean how can people serve this kind of biriyani to anyone. I was one of the regular customer of this resturant when there was another owner. Recently the ownership has changed and they changed the prizes as well. Previously they used to give chicken biriyani with chana dal and rayta as a package and it was only 5 euros. Now they have increased the prizes to 7 euros and the quality of food has fall flat. What a disastrous experience I had. They put 3 pieces of plain tandoori chicken inside the biriyani without any gravy. And the tandoori chicken has no spice and salt whatsoever. They kept the name of the resturant same even after changes of ownership but they are making more profit by providing tasteless food. the most amazing food, ever. thank god! been on the road for a couple days (international travel) and was absolutely hungry and in search for a simple yet relatable meal. something substantial. so, bangladeshi food it was. ay dios mio! bingo! the gentleman at the counter could not, could not understand a word of what i was saying BUT knew perfectly well by looking at how excited i was. his recommended and humble lamb dish -- with rice and boiled egg has been one of the best i've ever had; moist and flavorful. his naan with cheese was out of this world. one thing missing though was: chile. oh boy, was i in heaven when i saw that side dish coming? hells yeah! yum thank you kandarie.

I came to this place to eat on recommendation by one of my friends. I have to tell you it's One of the finest places I have visited . It's a very small shop but needless to say the food really stands out for me. The biriyani is too good and very cheap. Infact THE Cheapest that I have seen in the entire Gare Du Nord.
