After spending a week in Paris paying 20€ for tiny portions, I expected the 34€ pricetag on the 3 course dinner to mean a small appetizer, a small main dish, and a small dessert. But oh my goodness was I wrong, the 3 course meal had HUGE portion sizes! I have not had to take out at a single restaurant in France before this meal. And it was delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, and super tender. The mussel pastry for starter was super tasty and filled with seafood. And the final Panna Cotta dessert was super refreshing and fun to eat with popping bubbles! Alas if only I could read the special menu, there were other delicacies like tatare on it that were also very affordable. The owner of the place was also such a sweet and genuine lady. She handled the food with such care. If we were staying in Paris a couple more days, I would have definitely come back to try more items...
Read moreWent for a weekday lunch and we got the last table. Virgule is understated and delicious. I was shocked at how cheap the lunch deal was. A beautiful salad and main dish for 18 euro. My friends entrecôte was the best we had in Paris- cooked perfectly, served with a massive portion of potatoes and the melted Roquefort is to die for. I tried beef tartare for the first time and liked it a lot… it was fresh and tasty and a massive portion. We ordered matcha or green tea crème brûlée by accident lol but it was also delicious. I tried to come back for a second time on my short trip in paris (something I never do).
