La Grosse Bouteille — Restaurant in Reims

La Grosse Bouteille has a very relaxing vibe in a very nice location. I was there for dinner and I must say that food and wine quality is average and over priced. It was a very disappointing experience, the place has everything to be one of the best wine bars in Reims judging by it’s look and the location.

Customer service need a massively improvement. They are very focussed on up selling, up selling and up selling instead of listening to their customers. We were prepared to explore the different wines in the house, but after an hour there we couldn’t bother, so we decided to explore somewhere else. Unfortunately myself and my group were extremely dissapointed in the service. In particular I have to mention the waiter with the bald head for his apalling manors. We were a big group so we understand the difficulties in taking orders with the background noise but we certainly expected more in terms of friendliness and willingness to help. Went here for a weekend trip in Reims, found this little restaurant, the food and the service was excellent thank you to the guy who serves us.
