This is a genuine and true review and not one that’s disgruntled but one to serve as a warning to save you from a bad lifetime experience, time and money. Absolutely no accountability and acknowledgement from establishment. We were Pre-booked Le Foch by travel agent for my milestone 60th bday celebration. For 10 pax for a three course private bday dining and wine pairing. Huge red flag 🚩from the very beginning when I the bday boy was challenged by owner (Mature stern Female Boss) over why I don’t take fish but can have shell fish?! After she belittled me in French with typical French snobbery, she stomped off huffing and puffing as if I’ve committed a cardinal sin. The servers did not speak English other than a sweet young lady. We should have said something but did not want to come off as high maintenance Americans and ruin a special occasion. Meal started off with small stale French baguette (imagine stale bread in a Michelin Star restaurant) served over an upside down “pretentious” perforated bowl that couldn’t hold bread nor butter. NO explanation of wine pairing. There was one bottle of wine rationed for the nine of us (one didn’t drink). It was more of wine tasting than wine pairing. Main course consist of fish and veal. Those ordered veal were all served Rare cooked meat even though cooking specification shared during order. Half of us left uneaten raw portions of veal on our plate. You’d think the chef or stern woman boss would have questioned about uneaten meal?! DIDN’T CARE! To add insult to injury, plate were cleared and out comes 6 half dollar size Olive Oil Starbucks coffee cake. Please bear in mind this was my 60th bday with 10 guests from all parts of the world. No bday candles and I had to cut the coffee cakes into 10 portions the size of Hersey Kisses to serve everyone. At that point everyone was tired and shocked by the ill treatment and mediocre pre fab raw meals that we were served. Of course no one came to top up water or at least to hand me the bill. Once bill paid, we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The last nail to the coffin was that I was interrogated on how many umbrellas we all carried into the restaurant by the stern boss lady, even though there were excess hotel logo-ed umbrellas left in the rack. For the sake of argument I dashed out in the rain in wait of our van. Not to be precious or anything but this traumatic, embarrassing and despicable experience is forever cemented into all of us as the worst bday celeb ever. Our travel agent highlighted our dissatisfactions to the restaurant but fell to deaf ears. Please please try other restaurants ie Le Millénaire who values your patronage and offered an unforgettable dining experience. Lastly, shame on Michelin for even associating this establishment with a Star! Thank you for reading!

Sophisticated yet homey feel from the proprietor and staff. The web page presents a more elegant ambiance than what you will experience. We only dined here once, so a proper review is not possible yet. Very good and attentive service by everyone. Interesting and delightful amuse-bouches. Some dishes were well conceived but others did not feel well balanced for the various flavours trying to be incorporated. The veal tartare as entree was very rich, dense and unctuous, a large portion. The "virtual ravioli" of St. Jaques cheese and oysters was too much for one person... Not sure if the oysters underneath the fresh scallops (wrapped around the cheese) is a good idea. The féra du lac (fish) was excellent, swimming in a delicate sauce (with hints of ginger and turmeric?). Recommended! The passion fruit coulis with the Choco-passion dessert was bitter/sour and did not go well with the chocolate. A little bit of acid is fine...but on this day it was too distracting. However, the pomme merengue dessert was most excellent and palatable. Highly recommended.

For a break in my Michelin Stars Challenge in Paris (and 3 stars in France, follow me for all the reviews), I went to Reims. I wanted to try two local references (the third stars is coming later). The establishment. What’s interesting here? You get a feeling it’s the establishment of choice for a Michelin star night for a local. Of course you have 2 and 3 stars around. But if you want « just » a one star, with a family feeling, with a good ratio of locals. It’s the place. The manager who is also the wife of the chef and the wine expert, is the spirit of the room. The cuisine is quite personal. The chef expresses himself, but without being too present. He has a true personality. Bottom line, you won’t go wrong food wise. The crowd is the upscale outside of Paris crowd, but the food and the service makes you easily for this and spend a good time. Understandably a solid one star

Last week I went to have dinner at Le Foch with a group of friends, and we were very excited with high expectations as the reviews of the restaurant were quite good. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman who took our coats and showed us to our table. We ordered our food and drinks to another very friendly waitress and everything was running smoothly. The food started to arrived and we were delighted to see it was definitely meeting our expectations. I had a tuna tartar as starter and it was delicious. Unfortunately the main dish (the duck) wasn’t as good as my started but it wasn’t too bad either. Dessert was out of this world.

Everything started to change when Corinne, the chef’s wife, came to serve our table. Her attitude towards us was just unacceptable. We couldn’t comprehend how a woman with such bad manners and temper could be working as a waitress. She was extremely rude and disrespectful.

At the end of the meal, we went to pay and she didn’t even say a word to any of us. Not even a thank you for coming or even “good evening” when we politely said good bye.

Meanwhile her lovely and charming husband was standing at the door, to thank us for coming to dine to his restaurant completely unaware of her wife behaviour.

It is a complete shame our night got ruined by such an unrespectful woman with cero manners and customer service knowledge.

After this happen to us, I came to check the reviews again and realised that this is not the first time this problem with Corinne is reported and I can see there are several reviews complaining for her lack of good manners. I think this issue should be addressed to avoid jeopardize the quality of the restaurant and it's reputation.

There are too many good places to eat in Reims, I wouldn’t waste my time with this restaurant. I can’t comprehend how they got 1...
