On-point rating 6,9 They offer happy hour between 18 and 20, happy hour here is 2 hours of 2/3 happiness;) You will get a pint for a 33cl price beer so around 2/3th of the pint price. They offer a variety of beers which all is ok. My opinion and everyone may disagree but the place really smells. I mean a beer cafe can smell, but this is advanced odors in all its glamor coming right too you. Aside the smell there is a sort of thing with beercafe’s they do not need to facilitate you in a proper toilet session. I completely disagree . Not being able to close the door, having to sit on an rvs toilet and then needing to watch dirt on the wall is just not of this time. A good idea would be to change the wall material and keep everything clean. Only reason why i gave 3⭐️ is because bartender was good and beer cold Things to improve: - toilet - odor in the whole bar

Great place in the city centre, right next to the city's clock, on the main street. Very good music and large selections of beers. I was surprised that I could buy charcuterie, as you can see in the photos above. Very polite and helpful when I asked for yet another beer, giving me precised details about each beer I have ordered (they gave me a try out small glass of beer before they would've poured it in a pint).

150 + beers and all are really good ones. From blond to IPA to Dessert beer. It is possible to try 4 different beers free of charge and decide wich one tastes the best. They are pretty good English speakers and now wich beer will suite your best.

Delirium Café, Rouen: Where Tranquillity Goes to Die a Very Loud Death

Delirium Café has clearly embraced the philosophy that if you can't hear yourself think, you're probably having a good time. Unfortunately, whoever made this executive decision seems to have confused "atmospheric dining" with "auditory assault course."

I arrived with the reasonable expectation of enjoying a quiet drink while admiring Rouen's famous Gros Horloge – one of Europe's oldest astronomical clocks and a masterpiece of medieval craftsmanship. What I got instead was a sonic experience that could have doubled as enhanced interrogation techniques. The music wasn't just loud; it was aggressively, militantly loud, as if the sound engineer had declared war on human eardrums.

The particular brand of hard rock blasting through the speakers featured vocals that resembled someone experiencing considerable distress – the sort of indistinguishable screaming that makes you wonder if the singer requires medical attention. Within minutes, I felt genuinely dizzy, as if the sheer volume was physically rearranging my inner ear balance.

The irony wasn't lost that a café named "Delirium" was indeed creating a state of complete disorientation, though probably not the charming, beer-induced variety they were aiming for. When your music policy makes customers question their equilibrium, you've perhaps missed the mark on "welcoming atmosphere."

I executed what military strategists might call a tactical withdrawal, fleeing to a much quieter brasserie around the corner where conversation was possible and medieval clock appreciation could proceed without requiring hearing protection.

One star – and that's for the swift exit it motivated.
