To preface, we didn't actually get to dine here, because reservations were necessary for the evening. The bar area where you enter was nice looking, but the barman/host wasn't exactly what you would consider cordial. The attitude was sort of, how dare you not know in advance that a reservation is necessary for a bar/pizza restaurant.... A little too much arrogance for...

Lack of hygiene by the staff and impolite service! We made a reservation and were seated next to the kitchen so we had a good visual of how they prepared the food. First of all they reused the same wooden plates without cleaning them properly with soap, they just removed the remaining food. So, basically all people eat from the same plates continuously which is a health hazard! The waiter helped in the kitchen by adding arugula and other ingredients on top of the tartes but he didn't wash his hands properly even though he touched everything previously. To top it all, the waiter sneezed on his hands, touched his nose and then continued adding arugula on food. Also, the waiter looked polite however even though we spoke french he insisted in responding in English. This is quite impolite and a bit racist behavior towards non french people. The restaurant is quite small but has a nice atmosphere with laid back vibes which is nice. If hygiene existed in this restaurant then I would suggest it, however it's not acceptable to prepare food this way and restaurants like these are a health hazard and...

This restaurant was a recommendation of a good friend of mine. I was a bit overwhelmed at first as it was a bit hectic and hard to understand what was going on.

We had reservations, which I would suggest to anyone, as it’s quite a small establishment with only a few seats. It was nice once we had settled, though a bit tight every time someone tried to squeeze through.

Now the important part: the food! The Tarte Flambee (i know it as Flammkuchen) was very good. It’s the only dish they serve, but there are are a handful of variations. The wait wasn’t long too!

My only problem would be the small seats/benches for the tables at the side. They just aren’t very comfortable for a long time.

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t mind potentially rubbing shoulders with others and is okay with uncomfortable seats. The tarte flambees (Flammkuchen) are one of the best I have tasted in my life. It is also a great experience as they count as one of the classics of french cuisine. The prices are also very reasonable, which makes this an easy choice if your are looking for...

I expected a really great meal after reading these reviews... or maybe I just have a different expectation. But first, beware of the staff. They are very outgoing and this server who greeted us was very obnoxious. I asked him if they had an English menu and he turned his head to the French speaking customers (who apparently was everyone in the establishment) and made a lot of comments in French that appeared to be mocking us. As he was explaining the menu, he proceeded to turn and make comments in between and everyone just stared at laughed. It made for a very awkward moment... the food itself was okay. The tarte flambée is similar to a pizza. It was good but nothing spectacular. The dessert was great tho. Definitely save space for the dessert. But overall, experience was meh. Not sure what all the hype is for...
