Picobello — Restaurant in Strasbourg

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Picobello restaurant that left a lot to be desired. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this establishment lacked any sense of ambiance or charm. The decor was outdated and tired, giving the impression that little effort had been put into creating a welcoming atmosphere.

It was my first year anniversary so my husband and I decided to enjoy some Italian food. Unfortunately the service was horrible. They were rude and inconsiderate. We spoke little French so we were able to communicate but they were rude. It made us uncomfortable so we decided to cancel our order but they practically yelled at us and said that we either sit and eat it or pay for it and go. Pour touriste où inculte de la VRAIE cuisine italienne! En 30mns maximum nous étions sortis. Au vu des avis j'étais très emballée et je me disais c'est tellement compliqué de trouver un restaurant Italien où en cuisine sa chante, parle avec les mains ;-) et ça cuisine ITALIEN que nous nous sommes dit, allez on tente! HO MON DIEU, plus jamais!! On nous apporte nos apéritifs (sec, sans rien) 5mns après voilà que nos assiettes arrivent ...déjà! (Linguine carbonara, gnocchi sauce morilles et chiffonnade jambon de "parme") rien qu'à la vue des assiettes je me suis dit : c'est mort, cela doit être du réchauffé, des gnocchis achetés tout prêts, une sauce maison du sachet qu'on ouvre, des linguines secs avec du guanciale qui n'en était pas et de plus c'était étouffe chrétien! Les vraies linguine carbo Monsieur doivent être crémeuse!! avec du VRAI guanciale et donc, effectivement je ne me suis pas trompée, les assiettes qui étaient bouillantes, qu'il fallait surtout ne pas les touchers, bah c'était normal elles sortaient du four. 4 ou 5 petites bouchées de spaghetti pour moi avec un peu de guanciale.....heuu je pense plutôt du lard tellement il était salé!! ma tension a dû monter à 25 peut-être :-D (bizarre j'ai plutôt une bonne tension 12.8 max :-D :-D ) quant au gnocchi de mon conjoint il me disait que ce n'était pas terrible du tout, mais il a pu en manger un peu quand même, pas comme moi qui ai laissé une assiette pleine.
