Pho Kim Saigon — Restaurant in Strasbourg

Came here with a big group and we were warmly welcomed! However, I called ahead to ask about vegetarian options and the owner told me that there were many. Once I saw the menu in person, there were just three vegetarian options (one appetizer, no pho), so I opted for the sauteed noodles. A simple dish, though for the price you would hope it would be more generous.

Everyone at my table was adding soy sauce and sriracha to their dishes (myself included), so I would say there's a general lack of seasoning to the food. While the waitress was very kind and patient with us, she was also inattentive at times and forgot requests that were made. Every time she needed to ask the chef/owner about something for us, we would never get an answer and would have to instead get the owner's attention.

I would say the food is just okay, good thing they have the extra sauces there. Desserts are nice, would definitely recommend the sticky rice balls, which are...

j'ai découvert Bang xao il y presque 30 ans dans un merveilleux resto à la krutenau (dong kahn) J ai voulu me faire plaisir c est le dernier restaurant qui serve encore une crêpe croustillante mais vraiment croustillante…. ce resto j'y vais une fois tous les deux ans à cause de l'accueil je répète j'étais dans le quartier et ai voulu me faire plaisir Malheureusement ils annoncent bang xao « au safran « ce n est que du curcuma (il faut tjr se méfier les restos appellent aussi st jacques les pétoncles mais font payer le prix fort) J ouvre ma crêpe 3 tonnes de soja 3 crevettes je dis bien 3!!!!!!! Et qqes lamelles de porc ...écœurée…. Bon la il y a arnaque……....10,50€ le plat, la crêpe.. Je ne reviendrai plus En plus la gueule du serveur qui semble être le patron pas souriant...ha si !! juste avec sa clientèle et son petit fils : là on voit son sourire… t as juste peur qu il te mette un taquet ......tellement t'as l'impression de le déranger !!! change de boulot man ou file le job à ta serveuse qui elle est impeccable Vraiment dommage........... Apparemment je ne suis pas la seule avec ce sentiment.......à lire les autres avis…..avec la boisson j'ai laissé 20€ pour manger une crêpe au safran avec 3 crevettes c'est abuser!!!!! j'avais gardé sur mon téléphone une petite branche de menthe avec 4 feuilles pour plus tard, il l'a ramassé !!!! j'ai pas réagit!!! ça veut surtout dire qu'il va le resservir !!!! mesquin en plus !!!!!!!!! j'ai pas échangé 3 mots avec lui....un homme pas sympa et j'ai pas compris pourquoi .......peut être que quand les personnes du guide sont là c'est mieux fourni et mieux "traités" je pars à la recherche d'un autre resto ou l'on...

The waiter/boss/the person who served us was extremely rude and tried to make me change my menu choice in the most ungratifying terms. My girlfriend bore the brunt of this verbal assault. Her "soup" with "chicken" was water with some limp bits in. It smelled better than it tasted. My vermicelli salad was just about edible.
