Philibar - Brasserie ludique — Restaurant in Strasbourg

Briefly, everything began really well, as we arrived at the Bar and we had a reservation for 5 people. However, during the pre-reservation, we asked the employees of the Bar regarding the Monopoly and Uno games, if there're or not and their answer was NO. Actually, it was not really big deal, as we bought our own Monopoly and came to the Bar, then we ordered our foods and drinks.

Although the first 2-3 hours were really smooth and me and my friends enjoyed so much, nevertheless, in some point, the waitress began being really inhospitable and one of the main thing was that, we brought our own board game!!! Excuse me, but is it a big problem??? As I know, we do not pay any of the board game there in the Bar, so it means that as long as we order and pay for our foods and drinks, it's okay for us to use our game as well, isn't it?

Meanwhile, is it really kind way to approach and to say to the customer of your Bar which has 4.4 🌟: "You brought your own game and you do not order any longer. Will you stay more?!" I've been to many countries as a tourist but it was the first time that I faced this kind of attitude. The 3 points that I gave, were only for the foods, drinks and the ambiance there, but not else.

Je suis venu de nombreuses fois ces dernières années, le concept du bar est genial et le choix de jeux est cool.

En revanche on arrive a 4 personnes, on est 3 a commander une boisson dont 2 doubles (donc l'equivalent de 5 boissons) + moi un dessert. Et la 4eme personne demande un verre d'eau car il fait 32° quand on arrive. Le serveur fait la tronche et nous reproche clairement de prendre un verre d'eau

Mention speciale pour le "cookie a la fleur de sel" qui est en fait un cookie sec avec (beaucoup) trop de sel dessus, c'etait vraiment pas bon.

Ensuite très difficile de trouver le serveur qui semble débordé mais qui a pourtant le temps de faire des discussions informelles avec d'autres tables.

On recommande quand meme plusieurs fois des verres, puis au bout de 45min il revient en disant "je vous sers quoi" en insinuant que c'est l'heure vous devez commander un verre par heure et par personne donc je vous laisse pas le choix.

Derniere expérience, on a trop de verres sur la table (2 par personne) et je lui demande si il peut récupérer les verres en double (sachant que son plateau est vide) il me dit "vous en avez besoin pour boire votre carafe d'eau" alors que cette meme carafe est vide et qu'on vient de commander des boissons payantes ! Et surtout il s'en va sans meme écouter ma reponse.

Nous etions deja venus la semaine passée et ce même serveur nous avait interrompu durant un jeu de quiz en répondant a une question sans qu'on l'invite dans le jeu ou la conversation, je precise que je n'ai rien contre les serveurs qui participent a l'ambiance au contraire, mais quand c'est avec 0 tact et hyper intrusif c'est désagréable

Vraiment le professionnalisme laisse a désirer chez cette personne Je suis a chaque fois venu et reparti très content, et là ca fait 2x que ce serveur me donne pas du tout envie de revenir

Nice place with lots of boardgames in mostly french obviously but also some english and anyway many familiar games. and good food and drinks. A nice terrace with several long tables. The guests are mostly relatively young nerdy people, very lovely.
