YORUM HAKKINDA BEĞENİNİZİ BEKLİYORUM. TEŞEKKÜRLER...
Very nice. Europe, a geographical area of peace, the inventor and upholder of Human Rights, chose Strasbourg as the site for its key institutions. They are concentrated around the basin of the river ILL, on which you sail. You will have an exclusive panoramic view from our boats. Immerse yourself in the heart of Europe and discover the futuristic vision of our two thousand-year-old city.
Your journey will take you first of all to the gates of Petite France, Strasbourg's mediaeval district, whose pretty name conceals a less picturesque origin.
Then, travelling down the river Ill towards eastern Strasbourg, you will go through the imperial sector built during the German annexation between 1871 and 1918. Stately buildings, palaces and public buildings line the broad avenues which are reminiscent of the work of Baron Haussmann in Paris.
Finally, after a journey through Strasbourg’s residential areas, as if you were gliding along a long green corridor, you will round a corner and see the majestic European institutions of which we are so proud.
Occasionally scheduled, this cruise departs from the pier at Palais Rohan and brings you back there after a...
Read moreInteresting tour with interesting facts and history about the city and the buildings. Only the south part of the river Ill is visited, a bit west of the boarding place till the European Parliament on the east. Not a complete round around the whole city. Audio tour in many languages (I remember French, German, English, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Dutch, … ) and a couple of them even had a children’s version! They spoke a bit too fast to my liking, especially with all the interesting information. There’s enough time to play it a bit slower, as in between the talking there is a lot of time in which music is being played. To be honest, when the music is played in between, the volume is being put on a bit too much; this could be a bit less high. The boat was just painted new, which you could smell and see by the (now dry) paint drops on the chairs...
Read moreI had high expectations for my boat tour through Strasbourg to experience its medieval charm, and while it fell a bit short, the city's beauty still captivated me. The main drawback was the time spent at the water locks, which consumed a significant portion of what was supposed to be a 75-minute tour. Instead it was an hour in total. And during the passing of the locks, only music played. A missed opportunity.
However, I must emphasize the mesmerizing beauty of the medieval city with its stunning half-timbered houses and architectural wonders. The highlights of the trip were the glimpses of the charming streets and picturesque canals of the Petite France district. Also the commentary on World War II and the influence on the area was informative and greatly appreciated, adding depth to the...
