Le Local Morzine — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

Spending a week Snowboarding in Morzine and have just ate at Le Local for the second time (due to being so impressed with the first meal) and have to say really impressed. Had Pad Thai with chicken first time and it was absolutely fantastic. REALLY tasty and huge portion. Second visit I was going to have the Pad Thai again, but thought I should try something else and had the lamb shank curry. Absolutely fantastic! I visited twice. First time they didn’t have internet (which is why I went there for, to do so work) and they couldn’t even take card payment (they haven’t informed us about it whilst we were ordering). Second time i had lunch and I regret it. It’s well overpriced and underdelivered. they charge close to €12 for rum and coke. Their menu items are too expensive, not cooked well, come out cold and staff has very appalling attitude. This is not only mine opinion. What a fantastic place. So friendly and a great atmosphere. They are fully booked but I spoke with them and they worked to accommodate our small group. The food was excellent, especially the pork belly (other dinners commented on how good the Thai curry was. Also some really interesting vegetarian options. We will be back again this Saturday and we are already looking forward to our next meal here. If you have a chance, definitely make the effort to come but ideally book before you get to Morzine if...
