Vin Rouge "Pinot Noir" - Dupasquier - $25
Vin Rouge Chilien "Anderra" - Mouton-Rotschild - $19
Un vin rouge expressif, frais, racé et puissant en bouche. Au nez, des notes de cassis et de framboises. Une bouche de noisette grillée et de moka.

Terrible experience. After more than 7 years coming to this restaurant, we had our last visit yesterday night, due to terrible service and very bad food.

We made our reservation more than a month prior to our visit and we were given a broken table in the middle of nowhere, with no light. We told this to the waitress, who didn't want to give us another one although there were more than 3 empty tables around (this was 9:30pm, so it was very unlikely that anyone would come afterwards). After insisting we were given a table near the entrance where we have the pleasure of enjoying the "patrone" being mean and acting in a very non-professional way towards us and other customers. She also threw some menus to the bar, falling two of them over another table.

Fondue was the only good thing we had for dinner, although the amount was very little. Pizzas were terrible and pre-cooked, charcuterie was very poor and the "home-made chocolate" we had with the crepes was worse than a supermarket syrup.

We feel so sad and disappointed that one of our favorite places in the area has turned into this mess. This is not the way to maintain a good restaurant. We are sorry to say that we won't ever come back, nor our...

Disappointing Fondue Experience

I recently visited this restaurant with my girlfriend, eager to try their touted specialty, the tomato fondue. Unfortunately, our dining experience left much to be desired.

Upon receiving our order, the fondue looked peculiar, with the cheese separating from the fat and a floating cheese block instead of a smooth amalgamation. I inquired with the waiter about this, and to my surprise, he claimed it was normal and explained the unconventional method of dipping bread into the separated cheese.

Despite our efforts to convey our dissatisfaction and suggest a solution based on Swiss fondue practices, the response was dismissive. The waiter merely promised to inform the chef but proceeded to present the bill without any acknowledgment or discount.

As someone who has enjoyed fondue in Switzerland, this experience fell far below expectations. Whether it's a lack of skill or an attempt to disguise a failed fondue, the result was disappointing. It's regrettable to say that this was the worst fondue I've ever tasted. If the aim was to replicate the Swiss tradition, it missed the...

On arrival all of the staff were pleasant and the tables were clean. Unfortunately this was as far as it went... the service was unbelievably slow and the waitress did not smile throughout the evening. The starters were nice but very very large. The waitress got two of the mains wrong and would not accept responsibility. Bringing a cod dish rather than scallops and we ordered a goats cheese salad, receiving a two plates of cheese (mainly cheddar) and a very small salad! The manager apologised but did not spend any time doing so before retiring to sit with another table of customers (where she’d spent the majority of the night). She also said that she’s had problems with that waitress... so why employee her? The waitress in question also cleared half of our table before serving two other tables their food, then returned to clear our table. When we left I spoke to the manager again who didn’t seam to understand how poor the experience was, and was more interested in her tablet. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant! It was one of the worst dining...

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. The pros: - service was great. We had an excellent waiter who was very friendly and professional and manning a large area by himself - complimentary amuse buche at the start of the meal The oks - we had heard the pizza here was good so decided to visit to have pizza here to take a break from the heavy, cheesy mountain food. We weren’t expecting the best pizza ever, but it was fairly mediocre for the price The cons - we had 6 glasses of wine, a pizza and salad and somehow it was one of the most expensive meals of our trip coming in at about €80 It wasn’t bad, but we probably wouldn’t go back as we had much better meals in and around morzine for similar or cheaper prices

This location is very appeing from the outside, the staff are very pleasant and helpful to deal with. But as for the food that is a different story I ordered a Scallop Risotto as my main and what came out was far from Risotto, there was limes, apple, melon and a small pot of rice. Thankfully the food was edible. My partner ordered a pizza which was under cooked and not edible. She then ordered chocolate ice-cream which seems basic right? , yet this ice cream came out with a segment of mandarin on it and a bizarre topping that was similar to a pizza base. It seems as though the chef is over complicating simple dishes to try and wow the customers. I would not return and would opt for the restaurant across the street.

The Petit Montagnard savoury crepe tasted well, the portion was really big, too! The Raclette was pretty good although it was definitely served in an unexpected way - it was a small pot and resembled slightly thicker fondue rather than Raclette. The amount of cheese was slightly less than I would love to. What was specifically disappointing was the selection of cider - they only had bottled cider in small bottles and it did not taste as authentic French cider but closer to English sweet options instead. The staff was pretty attentive and they served all the dishes quickly. The atmosphere was not as cozy as in other places in the area but the restaurant accepted us as hoc without a reservation.
