Pitaya in Toulouse has lost it’s way. I remember during the pandemic, they were kind of ok. These days, it has become awful to disgusting. The last year, we have been to Pitaya 4-5 times, and they have been all very disappointing dining experience. And so finally, I write this scathing review because we are at our breaking point, as we discover ONLY about 7 small tiny pieces of beef in the Pad Thai!!! The sauce is saltier than usual, the texture of noodles is like rubber and dry. This is not Pad Thai, look at the photo. It’s so sad. It’s an abomination, shameless serving of food. Service was so very inefficient and slow 2 stars! A bit of saving grace for this establishment is the atmosphere as I rate 3 stars as the location is good, in front of a park and few stones away from Capitole metro. Pitaya owners of this branch, what the hell? Cordially.

A little disappointing. A 30 minutes wait on a Sunday afternoon for a Koh Samui Salmon Bowl, and as I waited for my order inside I became a little concerned that I had ordered something with raw salmon when the walls of the are less than ideal and in need of a thorough cleaning. The food arrived warm (typical with Thai food) so I pray that I have no adverse effects on the way home! Service was courteous but nothing exceptional The decor is not bad for a place that basically serves “street food” but as mentioned needs serious cleaning! I don’t think I will be recommending this restaurant and doubt I will return! The last time I ate Asian food in this area of Toulouse I was at the “Boli Cafe” which was excellent but they aren’t open on Sunday.

The fates were punishing us for our last day of vacation when we chose this place instead of French cuisine. A Pad Thai devoid of vegetables, although the amount of shrimp was fine. However mostly noodles that were congealed together. I asked for some hot sauce as it was a bit bland as was told it was extra! Never experienced that before in any Thai restaurant. Also there was a piece of some type of meat in my meal, and I don't eat beef or pork. Not fanatical about that, but could be very upsetting to others. I really should have asked for our money back but being a polite Canadian I didn't want to create an international incident between Canada, France and Thailand. Our server was friendly and pleasant on the positive side .
