Le Voltaire — Restaurant in Versailles

Bad bad food! I have no idea how this place managed to get 4.4 on Google to begin with. I'm giving 2 stars only due to nice service. I ordered some specialty sausages, googled what it was in advance, not to be surprised. When it arrived I was excited to taste it. However a suspicious stench was in the air before even cutting the sausage. Once I did, it became even worse. Nevertheless, I am not a quitter, so I took couple of bites that were hard to push down. Unbelievably rancid. As if the poop was still in the sausage. I couldn't finish it so I ate the fries and couple of leaves of unseasoned lettuce on the plate. But ok, maybe it's a french thing?? So I decided to order something simpler. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet (how can this be bad, right?). What arrived was a watery oily mess, fried to a crisp on the outside and completely raw on the inside. No salt/pepper/condiments. If so, then very very little. I dug out some pieces of ham from it and ate some bread. And gave up on trying anything else. I am not a picky eater and I am a fan of weird food, but this was just inedible all together. Restaurant brasserie type routier ! Le plat est bon: viande rouge frites salade Brochette d'andouille lard gratin salade (Ce qui signifie les 2 etoiles) Les desserts ne sont pas bon Riz au lait pas cuit baignant dans du jus avec morceau de fruits secs Mousse au chocolat compact sans réel goût de chocolat Poire au chocolat ( poire semblait fraiche car il y avait la queue) mais sans goût, du jus à revendre avec une sauce chocolat chaude qui si mélange donc pas bon. La serveuse à vu qu'on avait pas touché au riz au lait, elle est venu nous voir pour nous dire qu'il avait eu un souci de cuisson et nous a proposé autre chose ! Mais pourquoi donc le laisser à la carte ???????? On a refusé car les autres desserts étant pas bon on a pas voulu si risquer.
