Bar Peaches — Restaurant in Augsburg

I and another guy (both from India) went to this place and were stopped by the bouncer. He wanted to check our IDs. I had my ID on but the other guy did not and told the bouncer that he has a scanned copy of his passport on his phone that he could show. But we were turned away.

Meanwhile, people who were in the queue before and after is were never asked for an ID. This happened in 2019, and I was new to Germany then, and this incident has bothered me since then. Today I took time to read through the reviews and there are a lot of similar (borderline something-something, you know what I mean, since my review is not getting approved/posted) display by these bouncers. Since then I have been to several bars and pubs in Augsburg not one asking me for an ID. I asked several of my colleagues about this place and none of them were asked for an ID. Meine Freundin und ich, beide nüchtern, wollten am Samstag ins Peaches gehen. Es war mittelmäßig gut besucht. Als wir zur Türe reingehen wollten, blockierte der vorderste Türsteher den Weg und meinte, wir sollten uns erstmal seitlich hinstellen, damit sich seine Kollegen auch ein Bild von uns machen können. "Die stehen ja hier nicht umsonst herum." Obwohl wir bereits von vorne in den Warteschlangen Bereich gegangen sind, wollte der Türsteher, dass wir außen um den Wartebereich herum gehen und uns hinten anstellen, obwohl wir die EINZIGEN wartenden Gäste waren. Perplex wie wir waren sind wir dann tatsächlich auch noch außen herum und von hinten in den Wartebereich fast bis zu unserer alten Position gegangen bis wir realisiert hatten, dass uns die Jungs einmal kräftig verarscht hatten und wir im Endeffekt nur gedemütigt wurden. Natürlich sind wir als die immernoch einzig wartenden Gäste wieder gegangen.

Ich bin Deutscher, war früher selbst an der Türe gestanden, wirke aber nicht gefährlich und hatte tatsächlich noch nie Probleme mit Türstehern. Ich war auch schon öfter im Peaches. Meine Freundin ist eine sehr hübsche Muslimin. Uns fällt zunehmend auf, dass uns diese Kombi besonders bei arabischen Männern Probleme bereitet.

Mein Apell geht direkt an die Türsteher vom Peaches: Warum ihr euch so verhalten habt, bleibt euer Geheimnis aber so verliert man Stammkunden. Euch sollte klar sein, dass man allen Menschen mit Respekt und Toleranz begegnen muss und es für eueren Beruf sogar extrem wichtig ist, weil euer Verhalten andernfalls geschäftsschädigend ist! This was one of the unfortunately very view places i liked at Augsburg city. At first you think you are just walking into a bar where you can chill at and have some snacks if you like. But once you are inside you discover how you have a chance to party in a small underground club when you walk down the stairs to the bathroom 😂 i really liked this one.
