In all my 30 years of going to restaurants, I've never had an experience as uniquely disappointing as this one, and that comes from a person like me that is 99% of the time fine with all sorts of people. My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant, and while the place itself looks nice, the service was the worst I’ve ever encountered.
From the start, the waiter was dismissive. When we asked to be seated, his tone was rude, but we tried to be understanding. We then waited about 55 minutes to an hour for our food, and I know this precisely because I had sent a voice message to a friend at the time we ordered, which gave me a clear timestamp. During that time, we watched multiple tables who arrived after us get served well before we did.
When I politely mentioned the wait time to the waiter, I genuinely expected a normal, courteous response , something like “I’ll check on that” or at least a simple apology. Instead, he not only refused to acknowledge the wait but actually implied I was lying, saying “I don’t think so” with a look that was as judgmental as his words. I want to emphasize I was not confrontational, I simply brought it up in a friendly manner, simply hoping for some human connection or basic courtesy. Instead, I got a response that was not only dismissive but downright rude. It was clear from his tone and expression that he was treating me as if I were lying.
In the end, I stood up and said I no longer wanted the meal. I offered to pay for the drink and leave, but instead of any understanding, a single word of apology, he threatened to call the police (most pathetic thing a business can do instead of simply being able to not call people liar). I ended up taking it home just to avoid ruining the night any more than that.
If you're reading this and you work here, understand that people come not just for food but for a decent experience. If you can’t treat customers with basic respect, you probably shouldn’t be working in a role that involves interacting with people at all. I am genuinely...
Read moreThe location is great (in the city, facing this very cute plaza with a fountain); the terrace is nice, inside the restaurant is very charming with a "theatrical" dining room (colourful wall paintings, clothes drying, very high ceilings, etc) and a more romantic dining space underground; but I was a bit disappointed with my pizza (Sally ball). I found it just a bit boring as, for me, the onions were not caramelized and the burrata was cold and not creamy... I was missing a bit of flavour in general. On the positive note, my friend had the Truffle pizza that she liked very much- to her liking a bit more Truffle and that pizza would have been excellent 😋 We also shared a tiramisu and some drinks that we enjoyed very much. The service was nice and timely. The manager was very open to listen to our comments that make us really want to go back soon and try one of his suggestions (Johnny sausage or Pauly walnut) 😊 In general, we had a nice evening. 🍕🍹
Note: Payment only by cash right now
5.9.21: Back with the Pauly walnut (without the walnut for my allergies); the...
Read moreI have always had a good experience in Italian restaurants because it is always about making everyone happy, but this restaurant ruined the image for me. My friend was hungry and we decided to go to the Italian restaurant so he could eat and we could have some drinks while he ate. So we went there it took them a bit to give us a table even though it wasn't that full so we took a seat and we ordered some drinks after ordering they told us we should also order a food to be served with drinks and so we ordered a pizza as we had planned. since they didn't have our first choice we ordered something else and while we were waiting the one rude staff came and told us this is a restaurant not a bar😒you all have to order if you want a drink. This had never happened to us. Order is order. If they are so distracted about this policy, they should mention it beforehand because this rule is not for all restaurants 😑😑. Also, the decor of the restaurant is like half bar and half restaurant. So if you go there, make sure you...
