Il Gabbiano — Restaurant in Augsburg

Normally I dont bother with reviews, but this restaurant deserves it, such a time waste. This restaurant does not know what hospitality nor proper communication is. We looked for a table and the waiter told us it was okay to sit down. We asked for the menu and they were very irritated and rude. Multiple times we tried to catch the attention of the waiter to take our order. After 30 minutes we and our neighbouring table were able to catch the waiter attentions. To our surprise we got told that we shouldve waited in front and get a table assigned to us. Confused we told him that his collegue said it was okay to sit down here. So, then he told us that a colleague will be there in a moment to take our order. We waited another 30minutes with no one coming, so we ran out of patience and left. Absolutely dont recommend this place, dont waste your time here. On top that they seemed friendly to German guests, so if your a tourist, just walk past this place. Extremely rude staff --- After being seated we waited and waited.. numerous times we called over a waiter, who were quite rude, and were repeatedly told someone else would come serve us. This didn't happen. We waited 50 minutes, almost an hour we tried to endure the wait and the very rude staff because we thought the food looked very good. However our patience ended when yet another waiter was rude to us and told us to wait. It was not like we were being unreasonable, we just wanted pizza and a drink. I've never been treated so poorly by restaurant staff before, they treated us like we spit in their face. Don't go here if you value...

This is the best Italian restaurant in Augsburg I have tried so far. The service are very friendly. Always approaching you with a smile and ensuring that you are getting the best experience out there. The chicken was perfectly done! (One of the best dishes I have tried so far)

The pizza is also very special and the pasta was perfectly done.

I would highly recommend paying a visit to this restaurant if you are in Augsburg.

Also ask if the cheese cake is there. I loved their cheese cake with the cinnamon base addition.
