M.O.C. Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Augsburg

Very friendly staff.

Vegetarian choices are limited and not very creative. You can have Beyond Meat (which is probably mostly something for people who try to become vegetarians), grilled vegetables, falafel (there are many great falafel places in Augsburg) or jackfruit. How about some real patties with beans, mushrooms, walnuts, lentils or anything new? Or more interesting toppings like blue cheese, fig chutney, goat's cheese or avocado?

I mean the burgers were ok and the staff is open to special wishes but as a vegetarian I'd rather go somewhere else next time.

I paid about 22 Euros for a vegetarian burger and coleslaw and a homemade lemonade (which I consider rather pricey).

We had to wait for around 35 minutes and clothes smelled of food...

Today we visited the Mr. onions city. In itself, the restaurant is nicely decorated.

First of all, the service was an absolute disaster. We had reserved a table and were led to the table. 15 - 20 minutes later the waiter came back to take the order. So there were not even drinks first. After 45 minutes the food came. Otherwise, he was very unprofessional, slow and inattentive. We had to point out to him several times that we wanted to order more. So very bad.

The food itself was fine. Normal burger and salad. Nothing special but stable. Quality was ok.

Ich war am 28.12.2023 mit meiner Frau, den beiden Töchtern und unserem Hund im M.O.C. in Augsburg. Kleiner Spoiler: Wir waren vollends begeistert.

Von unserem Appartment waren es gerade 4 Gehminuten, was uns alle zu einem ausgiebigen Test der Cocktails veranlasst hat. Es war zum Glück auch noch von 18-19 Uhr noch Happy-Hour auf Cocktails. Zwar waren die „Spezial-Weihnacht-Drinks“ ausgeschlossen, aber alles andere war incl. Wir haben einen Gin mit Orange (Spezial-Rezept von Tochter, welche den netten jungen Mann leicht verwirrte (wegen „was war wie im Rezept?? die Merkfähigkeit arg strapaziert, aber absolut klasse umgesetzt wurde), Swimming-Pool, Caipi, einen Kaffee-Cocktail und noch weitere, ein paar Shots zum Abschluss. Alles schnell und perfekt zubereitet. Es hat einfach Spass gemacht.

Auch das Essen ist zu empfehlen. Ich habe mir mit meiner Frau einen El Matador-Burger mit Chicken und die -Porky-Nachos (mit pulled pork und Schinken-Chips) geteilt. Super lecker. Auch unsere Töchter mit einem English-Breakfast-Burger, Chimuchurri-Mayo, Potato-Dippers waren sehr gut.

Wir können nur sagen: Danke an das Team vom M.O.C. für den sehr schönen Abend. Wenn wir wieder nach Augsburg kommen - was auf jeden Fall passieren wird, da Verwandte von uns dort wohnen - freuen wir uns jetzt schon auf einen Abend genau hier.
