On July the 10th 2023 we visited this restaurant after seeing the menu and overall satisfied reviews online.
We do not recommend going to this place at all. The prices are very high, and they do not correspond to the quality of the dishes.
Everything looked beautiful, but tasted bland. The dessert was literally the worst restaurant dessert in my whole life.
Unfortunately, when it comes to the service, it doesn't get better. The waiter willingly served guests who came in large groups, entertained them throughout the evening. Although, he decided that we weren't worthy of his attention, as there was only two of us.
The concept of serving wines was also very strange. For some reason the waiter took the bottle we paid for off our table and we had to always ask for a pour - it was impossible to get the waiter. Apparently, they keep the rest of the wines in order to sell it to other customers, which is a very dishonest strategy when you pay for the whole bottle.
Later, I left a negative review on my Instagram page with a link to the restaurant, and the restaurant representative, instead of finding out more about our complaints and resolving it, began to threaten me and demand that I immediately delete my negative review. It was shocking.
All in all, Heine's is the worst restaurant of all that we have visited in Baden-Baden, we regret the money spent and the...
Read moreAt the moment I believe the restaurant is a bit overrated. The decoration and presentation of the food are excellent, but is also paid by the guests. Me and my company were not convinced by the seasoning. Overall, the taste was flat. For example, the risotto had no additional flavors, like mushrooms or pumpkin or saffron, whatever you can do with risotto, it was not there. For my taste food was missing salt and tasty highlights or contrasts. I am sure that if you are used to a cuisine with lots of chili, curry and similar strong ingredients you will say the food has almost no taste. In addition, we waited about 25 minutes for each single course with an overall very limited menu of only 5 possible courses. Speaking about courses, there are not too many alternatives. The food is good, but overall not the enjoyment I expect for about...
Read moreWe had one night in Baden Baden and I'm so glad we chose Heine's for dinner. The evening started inauspiciously as my internet booking hadn't gone through but the staff kindly accommodated us anyway.
We chose the four course menu with wine pairing. The food was well executed and delicious - some might find the dishes a little staid but we loved that the ingredients are not messed around with too much, allowing their natural flavours to shine.
What was really a delight was the wine pairing: carefully considered wines that surprised and were perfectly paired with each course. Dry Gewürztraminer with radicchio and gorgonzola? A Spanish dessert sauvignon blanc with pears and saffron? Excellent. These were not high end wines but they were just right fit for the food.
Heine's is a real gem of a place, with excellent...
