7 Dumpling — Restaurant in Berlin

What a great experience. We came from Ming Dynastie nearby which fortunately was full of Chinese people (was there some kind of conference or is it simply that popular with Chinese?) I write fortunately because otherwise we wouldn't have found this little gem with genuine Chinese food.

Our kids had mini springrolls and dumplings, and my wife and I shared a portion of 14 mixed dumplings plus a bowl of noodles . The noodles were fine, but I have to emphasise the dumplings. They were so delicious! I really appreciated that the 7 different varieties were very different though all superb.

It was the first time our kids had dumplings and they really liked it.

Their homemade kimchi was also very good.

Inconsistent. Some dishes great, some really quite poor. Ate there twice. First, had dumplings and noodles and enjoyed it. Second, a subsequent night, had dumplings (tasty) and chicken, beef and beans. The beef was very rubbery and fatty (and deliberately served cold). We waited nearly an hour for our food. The Wonton Soup came after 30–40 minutes, noodles 10 minutes later, and dumplings almost an hour later. Meanwhile, guests who arrived after us were served dumplings before us. There was no apology, no explanation, and not even a polite word when we paid.

The soup was tasty, but the dumplings were just average. With such poor service and attitude, I cannot recommend...
