The waiter lost his mind when we asked for an English menu. He thought that it was obvious what "Eisbein" "Alster" and "Gluewine" meant in English. The six of us had never heard of any of them and we kinda thought he was joking, but after we saw that this yahoo teenage waiter was shouting at the other staff members across the restaurant like a baby we understood that he was just possibly the worst people-person ever to exist. Extremely bad atmosphere. Awkward. This MF needs therapy. Should def not be allowed to work in a restaurant. We almost thought that his mood had lightened up a little bit when we payed for the radlers, but after we payed he said in the most passive-agressive manner possible under his breath "Thank you, have a nice evening, and dont ask stupid questions. Goodbye" (There were also swear words being said by the waiter, but these are too explicit to publish on Google to include them in the quote)

All this attitude just because we wanted to know what the German cousin actually consisted of. We ate at the restaurant across the street instead. They had non-agressive servers. Out of 12 restaurants we visited in Berlin this week, this crazy experience was the absolute lowest point amongst a collection of very fine restaurants and events with nice employees that treat you with respect. Berlin was very nice, this dude was not. The other servers at Faustus were nice too i suppose, but this entitled boy of a server ruined it with his extremely grinchy approach. He needs...

This German restaurant delivers a satisfying dining experience, especially if you’re craving hearty comfort food. The currywurst is a standout, served with a generous portion of fresh salad and crispy fries. It’s a well-balanced, filling dish that captures the essence of classic street food.

The pumpkin soup is another gem on the menu—rich, flavorful, and perfect for warming up on a chilly day. For dessert, I tried the Kaiserschmarrn, served with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was delightful, but the Kaiserschmarrn itself tasted more like a perfectly crafted pancake than the “imperial mess” I was expecting. While delicious, it lacked the rustic charm that typically defines this iconic dish.

Service here is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient. However, the restaurant tends to get quite busy during dinner hours, so I strongly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Overall, this restaurant is worth visiting for its comforting dishes and welcoming ambiance, though there’s room for improvement in capturing the essence of certain...

Faustus Schnitzelhaus at the Wittenbergplats in Berlin, next to KaDeWe dazzles with its eclectic vibe, combining a dim interior, American country tunes, and hearty German fare. The schnitzel, outstanding with diverse choices in meat, sauces and potatoes, pairs perfectly with the delightful Kölsch beer. Their apfelstrudel is a must-try, truly exceptional. Exceptional service too; our waiter's honest advice on skipping starters due to the generous schnitzel portions was much appreciated. For such genuine staff attention, service alone deserves beyond 5 stars. A must-visit for an authentic, satisfying German meal.
