No words can describe how grateful I am to had a dinning experience in this restaurant and a hand full of help from one of the staffs of maybe owner of this restaurant ( I was not pretty sure). It was one summer evening in 2014, I just got out from the subway in Berlin because there was a technical problem and I could not reach the station near my hotel. Once I got out from the subway station while carriying my big suitcase, I found this restaurant. At first I thought it was Indonesian restaurant, since they have Balinese umbrellas in their patio. I came in, told them that could not call a taxi because my phone is running out off battery so I was wondering if I could charge my phone and got some dinner while waiting for my taxi. The Indian guy (which I guest the oner of this restaurant), welcomed me and help me in calling the taxi, he also helped in choosing the chef recommended dishes which was incredible delicious choices. The mango lassi is unforgettable.. he also sit and talk with me when one of his drunk customers tried to hit on me...
It took me almost 2 summers to write this, simply because I just got signed up for this google account.. but I could not forget the delicious food and hospitality from the owner of this restaurant :) I certainly will come back in my...
Read moreWe visited Berlin in January during one week of vacation with a list of Indian restaurants to try, and this place was at the top. While the food tasted good, the service was extremely disappointing. It almost felt like we were expected to speak only in Hindi just because we are from India!
During our first visit, we noticed a discount mentioned in the Welcome Berlin Card, but we missed out on availing it. Before returning a second time, we checked the eligibility and got confirmation before placing our order. However, once we inquired about the discount, everything changed—the way the food was served, the tone of the staff, and the overall service quality took a drastic turn compared to our first visit.
To make matters worse, the bill arrived without the confirmed discount, and when we questioned it, we were given the excuse that the receptionist was new and had provided incorrect information. The staff member who served us was not only rude but also unnecessarily argumentative. When we finally asked for his name, he simply replied, "Singh," as if assuming we didn’t understand Hindi and would just accept whatever he said.

Read moreUpdate: we had our order delivered, and pretty much everything was a little disappointing, besides the samosas. I don't recommend the matter paneer (not tasty!) and the Palak paneer was not as good as last time. The dhal soup tasted a bit like plastic, which was a bit alarming. Maybe we'll give this place another go because our first impression was so amazing (my review below) but not doing delivery again. .... Yum yum!! I'm always on the quest for good, authentic Indian food - this place is pretty authentic. And we didn't leave feeling heavy and bloated like with usual Indian restaurants. The Palak Paneer is a definite must!! We had the veggo thali, around €12, it was filling but missing some usual thali items (e.g. a sweet, raita, and pickles). I'm definitely coming here again and next time I'm going straight for the Palak Paneer. I docked a star because the service...
