Having been to Beirut and fallen in love in Lebanese cuisine, I crave Lebanese dishes all the time. So when I visited Berlin, I immediately went to Aklé, a charming little restaurant with the most delicious, authentic Lebanese food. I ordered fatteh with halloumi, which was (besides looking beautiful) full of flavours and very satisfying. The creamy texture of chickpeas with yoghurt, crunchy pita, cashews and sweet-sour juicy pomegranate seeds combined with slightly salty halloumi - perfection! The signature Aklé pastry, similar to kataifi, with vermicelli and pistachios, sprinkled with rose petals, was heaven 💖 The sweetness was balanced with smooth Arabic coffee with cardamom, a divine combination. The staff is very kind and attentive, and I could tell they prepare and serve the guests with warm hearts. Highly recommended!

We tried this lovely Lebanese restaurant and had a really great experience! We ordered mansaf and kofta and both dishes were delicious. The portion sizes were generous and everything was well presented. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the food didn’t take long to arrive at all. One thing to note — the jameed in the mansaf was quite light which is great for people who aren't used to its strong traditional taste. It makes the dish more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Their lemon-mint juice was also amazing — super fresh and full of flavor definitely a highlight! At the end of the meal, they surprised us with a small Lebanese dessert on the house which was a really nice touch. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area — great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere!

Omg the tastiest food I’ve eaten in a while in Berlin. My boyfriend and me happened to run into this place by accident while waking in boxi, we were actually going to Iro izakaya vegan but their kitchen was closing so we went to this place and I would say the food was heavenly. We ordered falafel, cauliflower and spicy potatoes, every single thing was awesome and satisfying every craving we had. We cannot recommend this enough, definitely it will be a staple in our regulars in Berlin! Super!! ❤️

The staff were very unwelcoming. When we arrived, no one was there to assign us a table, so we sat at an available one. The place was completely empty. Shortly after, a man approached us and asked if we had a reservation, explaining that they were fully booked. We told him we didn’t have one, which wasn’t an issue for us. He asked us to wait and went to speak with a woman behind the bar.

However, we overheard the woman speaking to him in Arabic, saying that we shouldn’t have sat there and questioning why we had done so. He responded, also in Arabic, explaining that we had come in and sat down without asking. The entire situation was unsettling. Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to leave. At that point, they asked why we were leaving and realized we had understood everything they said.

This is not how you treat customers. We had no problem with the fact that they didn’t have tables available, but the way they handled the situation—speaking loudly about us in a language they assumed we didn’t understand—was completely unacceptable. We will never go back and hope they learn how to treat customers...

Normally, I don't leave reviews, but this time I feel compelled to share my experience. The food was undeniably delicious—there’s no dispute there—but the menu is bit misleading. Items like hummus or baba ganoush, which should be categorized as mezze, are instead listed as standalone dishes with a price tag that seems excessive for a simple dip garnished with minimal meat or a few veggies.

While some of the other platters offer a more satisfying value, we were disappointed by the scant serving of flatbread, which arrived cold. Given the overall price, warming the bread would have been a welcome and thoughtful touch.

The restaurant itself maintains a clean and modern ambiance; however, its slightly sterile environment might not be to everyone’s taste. Additionally, it’s hard not to notice that the owner offers small baklava snacks to tourists (?) while gently soliciting their positive feedback. Perhaps this is behind 4.9 average score? While the restaurant is acceptable in many respects, there are certainly more authentic options...

The food was absolutely fantastic – no complaints there. However, the service left a lot to be desired, thanks to one particularly unprofessional staff member.

We were a group of 10, and each of us ordered our own dish. According to the menu, every dish comes with its own portion of bread. Instead of serving individual portions, this staff member decided to place just three baskets of bread at random spots on the table and told us to share – which already felt dismissive. He added that if we needed more, he’d be “okay” with it.

But when I actually asked for more bread (since the basket was nowhere near me), he started making exaggerated facial expressions and pointing fingers, as if I was asking for something unreasonable. It was completely inappropriate and disrespectful.

Great food can’t make up for rude, passive-aggressive service. I hope the management addresses this kind of behavior – it really brings down the...
