Café µ — Restaurant in Berlin

Nicht so klein wie's klingt: Erstmal sieht man es kaum, weil die Ladenfront so unpretentiös – schlicht, weiss und namenlos – wirkt. Beim Betreten des Cafés steuert man direkt auf die Theke zu; erst bei einem genauen Blick nach links vernimmt man hinter der Raumtrennung (hier kann man sich Wasser einschenken) einen unerwarteten Raum mit großen Polstermöbeln. Dadurch ist das Café tatsächlich viel geräumiger, als man erst meinen möchte. Der Café kommt auch hier aus meiner Lieblingsrösterei in Berlin: passenger. Nun habe ich mir kurz überlegt nur 4 Sterne zu bewerten, weil der Cappuccino im mü 2,80 und nicht 2,50 wie bei passenger üblich kostet und Mengen-wie qualitätsmäßig auf gleicher Ebene ist. Da ich vermute, dass die Miete in Friedrichshain noch etwas teurer ist und das Personal sehr sympathisch, die Kuchen köstlich sind (z.B.: sehr cremiger Zitronen-Cheesecake um 3,00) drücke ich mein kritisches Auge zu.

This has become my favorite cafe lately. The food is always delicious, every cake and sandwich. I am obsessed with their orange-date scones. The gorgonzola & leek quiche is sooo flavorful! And the coffee is good. Nice outside seating and small, cozy indoor area. Always gotta wait at the bar, but it's a chill place and the music is always nice. It's nice that...

I used to love this place, however, my last visit was very disappointing. Barrista had no proper milk frothing skills as seen in pic, and the cake wasn't tasting good. Moreover, slice was fairly small and the couple after me in line got a slice double the size of mine, literally. A business should be consistent and it wasn't so. I hope you guys get better...
