Bagco Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

It is in such a place I had my last breakfast in Germany before reluctantly going back home. And what a perfect, lovely place to spend that time in. The entire room bad a lovely vibe, really calm and chill, perhaps it is from the pitter patter of the rain that came from outside at that time too, but it felt like a little haven of peace to stop by and take a break. The person who served us was very lovely. He greeted us so warmly, and took care of our meals with love, a little pat on the back as we are wished a good meal. So warm. The food was perfect as well. I had a baguette with butter and jam, and my friend a very rich omelette with vegetables, along with a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. We sat by a high table, right against a window that had a view on the rainy city of Berlin. A lady was reading her morning newspaper in the terrace outside. The puddles were growing bigger. The city was still as lively, while we felt suspended in time. The price surprised me so much, as it was so not expensive. The man exchanged some last warm words with us, and I complimented him on his baguette. Some more conversation happened, and he gave us both a fist bump. We stayed nearby (on holiday from Britain) and our hotel receptionist recommended this cafe. We are pleased that he did because this is a great café to go to for breakfast and lunch! They serve a range of fresh pastries and cakes including the classic Croissant and something we don’t get at home, the “Apfeltasche” which was lovely. We had the vegetarian bagel and the salmon bagel and they were absolutely delicious. There were plenty of vegetarian options as well. The breakfast menu is quite extensive and offers something for everyone. Sadly the matcha was not very good in my opinion but the squeezed juice definitely made up for it!
