Bao Nhung 1993 Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

A nice ambiant authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Charlottenburg, I decided to give it a try. I love the decor inside and the lights, it gave such warm vibes. We were seated quickly and served the menus. We ordered Miso sake Suppe and a sushi platter to share as an appetizer, along with lychee smoothie and Moscow mule. I asked the waitress if it's possible to switch the tables, since I felt ours was very close to the street, she was very friendly and accommodated our needs. We ordered spicy red thai curry with duck, which is my absolute favorite and special teriyaki chicken with vegetables and rice. The food was really good when compared to the prices, however nothing exceptional. The prices are so decent so I will be coming...

The prices at this restaurant are quite reasonable and that’s about the only thing I found good about this place. I ordered a beer and the server bought it already poured in a mug and it was not too cold. They should bring the bottle and open it in front of me so I can see that I am getting the beer I ordered, I am not sure if it was.

The Pho Chay that I ordered had too much salt in it. At the end of the meal when I tried to pay by card they told me that the minimum for card payment was 15 euros, my bill was slightly below that. There is no sign either on the menu or inside the restaurant that says the minimum for card is 15 euros, I think the server made up this limit right there. Also, he never returned the small change I was due, maybe he assumed I did not want the change.

Hidden gem maybe.. Found this little place through Google Maps and gave it a shot! Very friendly staff and authentic feel in the restaurant 👏 We tried ordering in a mix of German and English and we got everything we ordered 🙂

Noodles with vegetables and great crispy chicken, grilled beef with rice served sizzling hot and noodle soup. Everything was perfect 🇻🇳

Very cheap and we tipped a bit and was greeted with big smiles and extra fortune cookies 🙂

Highly recommended for a authentic and local experience...
