Misirlou — Restaurant in Berlin

This is the worst bar I've ever been to in my life. I myself was a bartender and made the mistake of ordering the wrong drink (GnT) which I thought was a classic gin tonic. I tried it and it tasted like flowers. I asked the thin Italian waiter with dark shoulder length hair if it was possible to change the drink and he said "it's not my problem you dont know how to order". I take full responsibility for ordering the wrong drink. However, I will not be talked to like that in front of a group of 10 people. He refused to change the drink so I went to the bar and asked the bartender (also Italian) to please change it. He did but not before laughing in my face and trash talking me in Italian. When it was time to pay the bill- which we gladly did, the arrogant waiter with black hair had the audacity to ask for a tip which I obviously declined. The other Italian (bartender) started insulting me in Italian, called me the f-word. I have never been more insulted in my life and have never dealt with drama like that over what would have been a 5€ tip. I'd love to say the drinks were great (they looked great) but tasted below average and cost 10€ If you want to pay lots of money for mediocre drinks in Prenzlauer Berg while getting berated by aggressively arrogant Italians, who offer terrible Service and then have the audacity to insult you when you refuse to tip for atrocious service- this is the place. Misirlou is a pearl! There is a wide choice of cocktails in reasonable prices, choice of non alcoholic drinks, wine, and snacks that you can enjoy while admiring the fantastic interior design of the place.

Their whiskey sour is one of the best I've had, well balanced with clear taste of whiskey. Cocktail named Berry Supreme tastes like rainbow. G n Tea was a fantastic experience as well.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. Vere polite, we got our drinks really fast despite the place being full. When I got a wrong cocktail brought (understandable, plenty of people and the music was loud) there was no issue at all - it was taken away and the right one was brought almost immediately.

This place is on the top of my list of favorite bars, I would recommend...

We went to have fun and some drinks with friends, but unfortunately this was not as expected, as we heard how the bartender mistritted the waitress. When we were leaving , we kindly ask the bartender not treating his co-workers like this, but he was racist towards us and justify himself for having "20 years of gastronomy experience" (when we all work in gastronomy) and that we didn't know anything about it.
