breakout Cafe — Restaurant in Berlin

My favourite place in Berlin! The best thing - the people who work there! Amazing team. And they make the most delicious coffee! Also, love the carrot cake and the cheesecake!

EDIT: To all the people who commented on the "bad service" — Breakout is a social non-profit café that employs people from vulnerable background and past, like young people who have troubles at school and people from foreign countries who went through difficult times in their life. Breakout offers community and a new start to these people. So if you find the staff to be "unfriendly" or simply not smiling, maybe think that they might have some trouble doing that because of all the weight that life brings. Feels a bit strange to give a review as I did not actually have coffee. We turned up at the time that the cafe was supposed to be open. Instead the person running the cafe opened the door a few minutes later with a look on his face as if to say ' go away, I cannot be bothered'. We asked if we could sit outside as dogs are not welcome inside the cafe, he spoke to us with a rather rude tone. So after sitting and contemplating as to wether to spend our money there, we left and went to a cafe that is dog-friendly and more welcoming - there's lot of choice in the area. I understand that people may have bad days..but do not pass that attitude on to potentially...

I ordered a Cortado and I got a very sweet coffee, like they added extra sugar which I truly hate. When I went back they gave me an espresso macchiato which is different. I went back again to say them I need milk, this is quite strong for me, they are like ‘then it becomes cortado!, but I insisted that it was too sweet, they said the milk was sweet condensed milk and this is the way they do it. I said don’t you have normal milk? In the end, after a passive aggressive, “then you add your own milk” behaviour, they gave me the normal milk and I added to my espresso.
