The food was fine, and so were the drinks. Both came relatively quickly, so couldn't complain on that side. However, I feel compelled to give one star here given the attitude of the waiter (no idea if he was the owner or not).
There was just two of us at first, we ordered and paid €41 - relatively expensive for two drinks and two meals, even in a tourist area, but that was our decision to pay so can't really complain. My girlfriend then arrived and moved a chair to our table. It was on the pavement and in the way, but the waiter in question quite abruptly asked her to move. No problem, we did.
Just before we were leaving, my girlfriend wanted to use the toilet, which is when the problem started. The waiter actually started going crazy at her, complaining that she herself had not paid for anything, and he needs to pay for electricity, water etc - apparently he had forgotten the money we had just paid. I questioned him as to why he was so angry - and, to be honest, it was a little worrying as to just how angry he was - and he ignored me, instead asking his colleague (I believe he was called Daniel) whether he was right in the way acting. It is perhaps telling that the colleague did not answer.
We live in Berlin and are clearly not the clientele this place is looking for, which is why he clearly gets away with acting so horribly and rudely towards his guests who are in town for a short time. It also worth noting that he was not wearing any shoes, which is surely unhygienic? If you want decent service, go somewhere else. As someone said, there are far better places...
Read moreExtremely rude man working here. Do not stop in if you want to be yelled at for a simple question. I was looking for somewhere to work with my friends and there were two guy sitting in the corner with laptops working, so I assumed it was okay. I asked the man at the counter for the wifi, which he happily agreed to. Then I mentioned I was going to work with some friends, and he started yelling at me. Instead of nicely and calmly telling me they had a policy against it, he was harsh and rude. I pointed at the men already working and he said they could because they didn’t ask? Which was ridiculous, and he said he would kick them out after an hour. He proceeded to keep yelling at me even though I was not being aggressive at all. This man needs to be fired, and this policy should be evenly enforced. I have never been screamed at for a simple question like this. Also the pictures on Google are a catfish. This place does not look that good. Do...
