Very disappointed about this hotel experience, not worth the money and the service is not anywhere close to 4 stars. Service is basically inexistent, the front desk personnel is rude and arrogant if any questions are asked. All you see when you arrive is two digital check-in stations with instructions, no people, no welcome or any human interaction. There was a guy sitting at a desk in the corner and mumbling something, but he clearly showed no interest in assisting. Check-in has to be done by guests on tablets, with zero assistance, including programming the key. I have experienced that before in 2-star hotels which are significantly cheaper and the low level of service is part of the concept. But it’s not acceptable when I pay almost EUR 200 per night! Same at check-out, again zero service and nobody even around. The room itself was nice but the bathroom too small. No amenities such as slippers. The worst part is that rooms are not soundproof. I could hear and follow the entire conversation in the next room, starting before 6am! Breakfast was okay with some nice options, but also massively overpriced. Overall I can say that this was definitely my first and last stay at this hotel. Highly recommend staying elsewhere, there are way better options for this price in the area.

The hotel looks more like three stars than four. During my stay at the hotel, there were some positive moments but also noticeable drawbacks. The number did not match the pictures, I was given a room with two single beds on wheels that constantly separated, creating a gap between my husband and me. Despite my request for a King-size bed, it seemed to have gone unnoticed. There was no shampoo in the room, the kettle in the room didn't work, and the shower was exceptionally small. Bathroom windows were stained, and the floor felt cold. The view from the window overlooked an office building, prompting us to keep the curtains closed. The fitness center lacked water and any equipment besides cardio. Access to the sauna incurred an additional cost. The staff's English proficiency was limited; when we requested a vacuum for packing items in a vacuum storage bag, it took them a while to understand whether we wanted them to pack our belongings or if we intended to purchase a vacuum. they didn't even write down our room number. In the end, we had to do without it.

I was very happy with the size of our room and the service given by staff, including the red carpet at the front of the hotel. All staff were friendly, plus there is a 24/7 reception which makes checking in and out very easy. I was actually surprised (in a good way) at the size of our room, and that the hotel had a sauna/gym (though I didn't have time to use these). I also liked that you could open the windows and get a lot of fresh air in both the bedroom and en suite. It was also great to be only a five minute walk from the Museum Island, which was very handy after standing on your feet all day! It was also awesome to have a big TV with a lot of channels to help unwind. The only downsides are I feel like the hotel could do with some minor renovations to slightly modernise. It was also a completely different (and somewhat scary) vibe if you turn right at the hotel towards Alexanderplatz, compared to turning left.

My recent four-night stay at the Classik Hotel Alexander Plaza in Berlin was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I am pleased to rate it 5/5, albeit with some minor caveats.

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed warmly by the friendly and helpful staff, setting the tone for a pleasant stay. The check-in process was smooth and accompanied by a delightful touch of receiving Prosecco.

One of the standout features of this hotel is its excellent location. Being near Alexander Plaza and convenient transit options made exploring Berlin incredibly easy. The large, spacious room I was upgraded to boasted a modern design aesthetic that I found both stylish and comfortable. The room included thoughtful amenities such as a large Smart TV with AirPlay, a wireless charger on the bedside, and tilt-and-turn windows, which allowed for great ventilation.

The lighting in the room was modern and bright, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The comfortable bed and pillows ensured restful nights, and the included slippers were a nice touch. I also appreciated the controlled access elevator, which added a layer of security, and the reliable high-speed WiFi, which made it easy to stay connected.

Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with a tasty selection included in my stay. The towel radiator was another thoughtful feature, perfect for drying and warming towels. The refrigerator in the room was stocked, although it came with an additional charge.

However, there were a few drawbacks. The absence of air conditioning was notable, especially on warmer days. If this is important to you then you might want to avoid this place in the summer. Additionally, the windows lacked screens, which could be inconvenient when opened for ventilation. The shower head in my room was broken, but it still worked well enough to be usable. Lastly, the laundry services were quite expensive and I ended up using a local laundromat which was significantly cheaper.

Despite these minor issues, the overall experience at the Classik Hotel Alexander Plaza was overwhelmingly positive. The combination of excellent location, modern amenities, and exceptional service made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin, with the caveat that you might want to check on the air conditioning situation if traveling during the...

Me and my family (4 persons) were assigned two rooms. The rooms were nice enough, however we soon noticed black mold in the showers. One more than the other but both rooms had an issue. Upon telling this to the receptionist he suggested he would send housekeeping to clean it up. This was not a solution we would be ok with since black mold is a health hazard and we didn’t want our children to live in it. We were then told that there was no rooms available until tomorrow and that it would only be one room that could be changed if we wanted to be on the same floor as our kids. ||||Unhappy with the solution and lack of compensation for our inconvenience we agreed since the receptionist told us that he could not tell us if we could change hotels and get our money back. Reportedly there would be no manager, who could answer these questions, in the hotel until Monday (this was a Saturday) which seems outrageous to me. ||||The next day we moved out of one room and when we got back, imagine our surprise when we were offered a room two floors from what we agreed upon. We then wanted to move the second room to the fifth floor but apparently that was not possible and we still couldn’t speak to a manager. Also the receptionist were very disrespectful first ignoring us and than making jokes about us with other guests as we left. ||||At this poo t we just had enogh and sent an mail to the magner telling them we just wanted to enjoy the rest of our vacation not moving around any more but that we wanted some sort of compensation. We got a reply telling us they now had a room near the kids room but we were given no compensation.||||Also, the reason we couldnt have a room on the same floor the first time was that more rooms on the same floor also had black mold in them…. That didn’t seem to stop them from puttning other guests in the room we left and other on the...
