Café Marral — Restaurant in Berlin

Don't go to this place. The interior is nice but the service is outrageously lazy, ineffectual, antagonistic, and to top it all off: unapologetic!

I genuinely had the most interesting dining experience ever. It was as if they put a cartoonishly inept and bored community service member in the restaurant, and expected her to do anything besides scoff at the clientèle.

Our food came in an hour late because the waitress misheard the order (she only ordered for 2 people instead of the desired 8, and thought nothing of only serving main courses for 25% of the table population).

The cook was missing in action, smoking outside and had to be tracked down & wrangled back into the kitchen. All this to rush our order along once we hade made clear our intentions to actually eat dinner instead of sit idly at an empty table.

Instead of attempting to make amends in any way whatsoever, the waitress chose to either ignore us or laugh at our predicament.

When directly asked "a sorry will suffice", she proceeded to ignore our entire table for the rest of the evening.

A poorer service has never been had. Minimal points, altough the food was halfway decent (once it arrived).

Good place to visit for a laugh, althouh dont expect to be served actual food without a herculean effort...

Came here a while ago for dinner and it was a great experience! It was hidden behind a construction site. The interior is warm and a bit dimly lit, with lots of art and cozy seatings. It felt like being in a nice and warm living room, and it wasn't loud or full of guests. The food and drinks were served by a friendly server. Our food was absolutely delicious! They came in hot pans and stayed warm until finished. Food for two including drinks was about 30€, a good price! Its a quiet place and I highly recommend it, especially for a cozy night out...

The coffe/restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere just adorable. Decent decoration and colorful... most important: the FOOD... My experience was amazing! Colours and flavours, harmonized spices and textures, the dishes are just simple but delightful. I was really surprised and I totally recommend this place. My highlight: the entrances dish. Sweet and Salty, Spicy and Fruity ... falafel, hummus, bread fresh and so tasty! (If you go with a friend, this is probably the best choice to start and shared a pleasent...
