Cafe Engel — Restaurant in Berlin

I Ordered a walnut ice cream cone. The ice cream was placed on the plate to be taken. I wanted to pay €1.80, the saleswoman said it would cost €2.20 and that it was a "premium variety". I saw the sign on the ice cream counter, ice cream €1.80, "Premium ice cream €2.20 and "Edelpremium" €2.40!!! I couldn't find any indication of the graduated prices on the ice cream containers in the counter. Some signs were there written by hand. The ice cream tasted normal and I wouldn't pay €2.20 for it next time. What is supposed to be "premium" about a normal walnut ice cream? I can get it at many ice cream parlors for €1.60. The café won't see me again. The café advertises, "our ice cream gives you wings," I would add, "to fly away quickly once you've seen the prices." Please ask before you order ice cream what your ice cream...

We arrived when it was fairly busy. We waited 30 minutes to place our order, after having to flag down and ask a waitress to take our order;. After 15 minutes, we asked about at least receiving our beverages. 10 more minutes after that, the coffees arrived while most people have left. The food finally arrived over an hour after we first sat down at Cafe Engel, the waitress apologized for the first and only time for the long wait. Horrible service, just horrible! We sat for almost TWO hours and wasted our entire morning before finally getting up and cancelling our order and leaving. The waitress was rude and seemed upset that we were cancelling. She said they only had one cook in the kitchen, but she should have told us it would be a very long wait. Now we have wasted our vacation time AND still have not eaten. She also had the nerve to charge us for the coffee--which was not even hot-- instead of just apologizing and and taking it off the bill.
