Cafe Morgenland — Restaurant in Berlin

Gordon Ramsey should come and give this restaurant a look. Worst breakfast I have ever had. Hot drinks were brought to us after we asked for the check. Food seemed to be "leftovers from last nights party" olive tapnade, spicy hummus , cold eggs, hard bread. Talk about a punch to the stomach. If you are vegetarian, it doesn't impact which plate you'll get. Ours was dancing with baby shrimp, mussles, clams and other mysterious shellfish. All in all, worst place to go for food. Service was all over the place. I left 75% of my food. Paid for a breakfast only managed to eat cold, hard bread, a slab of butter and strawberry jam. Food for brunch is average, but really the issue was that we had a bad experience with the service. It was winter and around 5º degrees outside and we were told that we just had to sit on a table outside for a few minutes since the restaurant was full, and would get a table inside soon. I stressed that if we could not get a table inside, we could not stay, as my girlfriend was sick - we were reassured that we'd get the table and decide to sit down and start ordering the drinks. The waiter apparently "forgot" about the table and after 20 minutes I asked about it (we had already helped ourselves from the buffet by this point), which he answered was almost ready. Food was ok BUT. Drinks are not self-service so waiters bring them to you. I ordered americano and fresh orange juice. They brought me cappuccino instead and forgot about orange juice. I called a waiter and asked to correct a mistake. They talked among themselves about the orange juice. Ten minutes later after I already finished my food they brought americano. Orange juice never came and I gave up on it. Later a waiter asked if we wanted more drinks, I ordered for one more americano. After some time of waiting I realized they forgot about the coffee.
