We bought two deserts on the outside area and moved inside to take a seat. As soon as we sat down, before even opening the menu, someone who looked like a manager (wore different clothes than the waiters) approached us saying we couldn’t sit there because we did not buy something from the inside area.
There are three problems there, to begin with:
We told him we didn’t know that, and he replied we could stay “just this time”.
5 minutes later, a waiter approached us AGAIN telling us the same story. We saw that another manager-looking man told him to do so. At this point we got annoyed with the situation and told the waiter we would leave. He explained us that they have instructions to tell people about this because some items have different prices on this inside area (?). During this whole conversation the manager just stood to the side, and did nothing.
We (now) understand that they are trying to offer some “special service” with this separation, but this complete lack of information puts people on very uncomfortable situations. We live in the city. We could go there every weekend. Throughout the whole year. But this sort of attitude makes us not want to even step close to this place, which is a shame because the ice...
Read moreI have to give it to this place: they have good ice cream. The variety is splendid. As a take away ice cream place, this is a good choice. But unfortunately for us, and now for them, we wanted to sit down with our ice cream, because I wanted to have coffee.
"You would have to sit down and order at the table then", said the woman at the counter.
So we set and placed an order with an unfriendly waitress, and waited some time to have our ice cream and a lot more time to have our coffee, which is annoying. Then came my coffee inside a funny looking, uncomfortable to drink from, construction (see photo). I didn't enjoy it at all. Well, I thought, this happens.
So we ordered the bill and low and behold, it's 16.30 euro. I asked the waiter how we came to it: well, in addition to 3 scoops of ice + some cream costing about 9 euro, my small coffee with ice is apparently an "espresso shake". An "espresso shake" costs no less than 6 euro. To my surprised reaction the waiter spat out in a suspiciously trained way: it's in the manu! I asked to see it. It wasn't on the menue.
To sum it up: as an ice cream spot, nice place, a tad expensive. As a sit-down ice cream parlor - it's a...
Read moreCaffè e Gelato is an enchanting oasis that expertly combines the rich flavors of authentic Italian coffee and the creamiest, most delectable gelato I have ever had the pleasure to taste. From the moment I stepped into this delightful establishment, I knew I was in for a treat!

Now, let's talk about the gelato. Oh, the gelato! With an extensive variety of flavors and expertly crafted combinations, I felt like a child in a candy store. I opted for the chocolate ice-cream cake, a classic duo that simply melted in my mouth. The creaminess of the cream, combined with the delightful crunch of chocolate shavings, was pure bliss, while the nutty, aromatic notes of the nuts were the...
