My first (and probably last) experience with this store was negative. The store layout was a bit confusing, but there was a customer service representative there that helped me. He spoke English and was nice and ready to help, and he even taught me a little bit of German after we asked about how to say certain things.
However, I had bought the wrong item and upon returning that same day, I went to the customer service window and asked for help with a return in English. He rudely interrupted me and said "No, no English, only Deutsch", and then proceeded to respond in German with an annoyed expression, expecting me to answer immediately. After awkwardly struggling to find words in silence, he finally brought someone that spoke English to help me. They asked for my receipt and the items, but did so in a mocking way, laughing at me and speaking with each other in German.
After getting that solved, I went over to buy the right products and upon asking another representative if he spoke English, he dismissively responded with "Nein" and continued responding in German. It was obvious I had no idea what to say, but he stood there expecting a response. I tried to pull up Google Translate, but the app didn't load and after a long awkward silence, I just said "Sorry. Thank you" in German. He was working on other things while I was talking to him, and he just said goodbye uninterestedly.
Overall, the staff were rude and snarky. They were not at all interested in helping me, and were unwilling to speak in English or point me to someone who did. The fact that the same thing happened twice is disappointing. Expecting everybody to respond with fluent German using tech terms is unreasonable. The worst part is they were disrespectful and unwilling to help or find a solution.

Read moreI have used Saturn multiple times this summer due to different circumstances (e.g. our fan broke on a hot day and we wanted a same-day replacement).
At each trip to Saturn, the staff have been near useless and very unwilling to help. One time, I could not find their small fan collection and went to ask a worker, only for him to interrupt me, without even looking up at me, with the response "Go to the information desk". I understand if he cannot consult on products not in his area, but to not even point me in the right part of the store? Sheer laziness.
Another time, two workers stood at a computer in the electronics section. The electronic I needed was locked so they needed to unlock it for me. After standing there for a minute without them acknowledging me, I finally interrupted them, for them to tell me to wait. After 15 minutes more, I left to buy the item on Amazon instead.
Check-out staff also do not greet you or look at you and seem very unhappy to be there. All in all, Saturn could do a lot to improve its service if it wants to compete with online providers. I will avoid them...

On the contrary it was extremely bad service from Saturn in Mall of Berlin near Potsdamer Platz. The staff didn't replace a faulty product bought 1day ago from Saturn Alexanderplatz saying Saturn return policy said so. Upon asking to show such policy he couldn't. Also said that Saturn in Mall of Berlin had a different owner than one in Alexanderplatz. I had to rush in 30min to Saturn in Alexanderplatz for replacing.
