This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Service was fast and the food was really good. It used to have fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors. One dish I used to order quite frequently is one of the soups, which used to have a very complex and balanced flavored broth. After a negative experience about a year ago with the food here that just didn't taste as good, noodles soggy, became reluctant to come. In the past year still tried to come and give this place more chances, because that soup was so damn good! Unfortunately after multiple tries I have not decided this place used to be good, but now is not worth my meager 6 euros.
In addition, the server has always been less than pleasant even after being a regular (came by roughly once a week back then). But it became even worse when i saw him treating a german woman with extreme disrespect as a server. This woman had apparently forgotten her phone in the toilet, and as she came out, this server scolded her. Told her "this is my restaurant you have to first come to me." Maybe she just waltzed in beforehand to use the toilet without asking and not being a customer, i don't know for sure. But he continued this with calling her a "Komsicher Deutscher/weird German." Surely rassism is never OK.
On another occasion, at around 9 PM, I was eating and one of the last guests there. A couple comes in and this same server passes them to collect dirty dishes on a table, and in passing mumbles something to the couple about not being open. The way he said it was rude, and he didn't even properly look them in the face. This couple was taken aback but then said loudly, "war dass ein Schertz?/Is he joking?". The server continues to ignore him so they assume he is joking and take their seats. The server comes back out and tells them they are closed, again not looking them in their faces. Also he just says "Ist schon zu", no polite apologies, no pleasantries. He obviously doesnt give a f*ck about his customers. All in all no reason...
Read moreI have eaten here many times and the food is tasty. The vegan duck is really similar to real duck. However, last time, I was seriously disappointed at their lunch service: I arrived and took the first table inside, near the door (it was raining on the day). The waiter asked if I was alone and proceeded to sit me on a tiny, uncomfortable table with jackets hanging on the wall above my shoulder. I felt unnecessarily uncomfortable given that there were at least 3 other free tables in the restaurant where I could have sit. If I had known, I’d have ordered food and remained comfortable in my house. But the worst part was when a lady with a hurt foot arrived, using crutches, and they did the same with her trying to sit her at the end of the restaurant (in which was an obviously challenging path with the crutches). She ended up sitting outside where the tables were wet. That was...
Read moreThis great vegetarian place serves tasty vegan dishes. The full bar service is a welcome feature after a long day of walking through the city. The place had tables inside and out--the 4 of us sat inside. There was one guy taking orders, making drinks, and serving the food, and it was busy and he kept moving! My family had rice curry with peanut sauce, crispy tofu, eggplant and banana leaves, each dish is priced at around 6 euros. Don't skip the appetizers! The dumplings & spring rolls were so fresh and tasty. The portions were generous so I couldn't finish mine. My husband had a mojito and I had a glass of dry Riesling wine. I recommend this...
