The baristas and waiters were friendly enough in the morning, it's a nice working space if you don't mind the loud music, and the playlist is pretty good. The food is awful though, and the drinks aren't worth the price. I did like berries smoothie, but €6 for some of the hot drinks is just ridiculous. Insane is the fact that orange juice with ice inside is over €7!?!?!?!?! And it's not even freshly squeezed, they pour it from a pitcher that they stirred with a spoon!
Moreover, the porridge and the eggs seem to not be fresh. If you ever had that powdered egg mix served in a school cafeteria, that's exactly what the flavor and texture is like, just with some pretty toppings. On top of that, when we asked if the porridge had nuts to be safe, the waitress said no, which makes it seem like they definitely end up reheating a massive batch of oatmeal instead of making it fresh (which is dangerous because the allergen is not clearly marked on the menu). So I got eggs instead and they were just awful.
One of my friends got sick after eating a yogurt bowl and the porridge she ordered. Luckily she ended up being just fine but because of that I can't recommend this place to anybody. Save your money and go to a restaurant nearby with better value and better transparency about their "fresh"...
Read moreWe've been faithful customers of this café for almost 5 years because we love the variety of the food, the fact that they open at 7:30 a.m., even on the weekends! (we have an early riser 4-year-old daughter), and the size-price-relation fairness. Regrettably, the changes it overwent in the last 3 months have been for worse, not better. The first deterioration was the fairness size-price. The sizes diminished and the prices increased considerably. The second one was the taste of some dishes we usually ordered like the pancakes, the paleo porridge, some omelettes, and the scrumbled eggs. The third one is the accompaniments of some of the egg dishes. The kinds of breads... Neither home-baked nor whole grain. We understand that the restaurant needs to undergo some changes to attract more custumers, make more profit, improve the quality and diversity of the dishes, we just hope that when all of these take place again, the variey, taste, size, and price won't be drastically...
Read moreWe came for a late lunch on Oct 24 and ordered the crispy chicken with fries with truffle sauce as well as two pulled pork dishes. The chicken was served undercooked in the inside and after asking to have it cooked again, the sides were served cold which was disappointing. That evening all four of us, having shared each others plates, developed severe cramps and diarrhea, some also nausea and vomiting. The symptoms all started simultaneously and ended a day later. It is highly likely that the symptoms were caused by food poisoning. Apart from this horrid experience, we have come to realize the past few times that the food is mediocre and a lot of the staff/waitresses (not all) are very unfriendly. Unfortunately we will not come back again, a shame considering the cool location and...
