Everything about this place seems promising. From the location, to the nice outside area, to the hip logo, to the interesting menu. Unfortunately, the food does not hold up to the first impression.
We sat down and waited. And waited. And waiteeeeeeed. About 40 minutes in. When we saw that another couple got their food first despite ordering after us and the same burger, we asked if there was any issue with our order. They said something about their freezer/printer? being broken (that's worrying in itself tbh), but I don't know what that would have to do with our food coming later than that of others. Honestly, we felt like we were being lied to and we wish they had just admitted that they had forgotten us.
Eventually, the food came, just when we were ready to leave (we wish we had). At this point, the food would have had to be amazing to make up for that disappointing experience thus far. Unfortunately, the food we ordered was bad. We had two burgers (the beef one and the crispy chicken one). The beef one was about as average as a burger can get. The crispy chicken burger, despite making the better impression upon frist glance, was really bad. The chicken was not an even filet cut. It was chunky/patchy (hard to describe), but it just didn't taste and look like a good piece of chicken. It either came from a really bad part of the chicken or it was just meat that had been glued together and then deep-fried. Either way, it tasted awful. The sauce on both burgers was underwhelming. There was nothing "korean" about it. The Kimchi they gave us -- granted, on the house, to make up for the debacle -- was overspiced and icy cold. The only two things that were good were the fries and the buns.
To top it all, they even gave us the wrong bill (from the other couple) and we had to point out that that wasn't our order -- to the waitor's confusion. It's not the worst thing, but it just added to the already bad experience. And look, they said sorry, fair enough, and the servants were friendly, and I could give more stars if the food had been at a minimum above average, but the food was frankly the worst part. A free Kimchi is not gonna cut it.
Across the street, there is an awesome Korean restaurant called Shikgoo that I can recommend instead.

Read moreSo here is exactly what happened. I went there with my two little kids for lunch. We ordered the Dak Dak Bowl Lunch Menu which includes a softdrink for 1.2 Eur more. We were roughly through half of the meal when I noticed one piece of the fried chicken was not cooked properly, it was still pink inside. When checking the other pieces I noticed that this was the case with nearly every piece. When telling this to the waiter she got somebody from the kitchen. So I showed him and he reacted pretty much perfectly. He apologized and said we don't need to pay. As we wanted to leave the waiter asked me to pay for the drink. This irritated me a bit but ok. So I went in and she wanted the standard price for it instead of the lunch price, which I ordered. Not really my fault that they didn't cook it right, isn't? I argued why I should pay this now instead of the lunch price so another chef from the kitchen got involved and told me to calm down and rudely went on that they fried the chicken. I don't know what he wanted to achieve by this remark. In the end, I didn't pay the drink and they basically kicked me out and told me not to come back (surprise! I won't). In total, a horrible experience after the second chef got involved. Which is a shame as the first one handled it perfectly and I actually did not plan on writing a review after this. But how somebody can have the audacity to charge a customer, and be it only for a drink, which got served a meal with undercooked chicken, which is a health hazard and also got eaten by small children, is more...
Read moreToday, my boyfriend and I visited this restaurant and ordered the honey butter garlic chicken along with some other dishes. The chicken we had there was boneless and very tasty, so we decided to order more to take home. After paying, we quickly received a packaged chicken box and left.
However, when we got home and opened it, it turned out to be all pieces of bony chicken parts and wings. The meat was very tough and nothing like what we had at the restaurant. Also, the salad we were served there was just a few pieces of cabbage and three slices of onion core, which felt very careless.
It seems like you really need to double-check what you’re getting instead of trusting the order blindly. I didn’t know that before.
On a positive note, the female server was very polite and friendly. I’m not sure if this mistake was due to one person’s carelessness or if this kind of thing happens often, but it was...
