Tipperary Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

Went there a few times over the years (who doesn't like Irish bars!), and every time, the servers were rude. Ordering in German or English, no difference, terrible service.

Last time was the cherry on top. I ordered a red ale and was brought a bottle of berry flavored cider. I told the server that is not what I ordered, and she said it was. I was with 4 friends who know I don't drink flavored cider. I wanted a Red Ale.

It's hard to make a mistake when asking for an "irish red beer." Anyhow. Ordered something else, but they left the bottle there to tempt us in drinking it and then having to pay for it.

We didn't. It was on our bill at the end. I said I wasn't going to pay for something that I didn't order and offered to pay for the rest of my invoice. The server started getting angry and telling me to leave, that she didn't need my money and made a scene.

I still paid. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

Living in the neighborhood, this beautiful Irish Pub is my little Elysium from time to time. Cheerful people to talk to, a bartender with an open ear, great taste in music, and most importantly, always a smile on his lips and a wrinkle around his eyes, proofing that it comes from the heart. The most honest hospitality I found in a pub for a long time (don't get me wrong, many of the other places around are nice as well, but this pub has a very special vibe). A warm and rustic atmosphere, a fine selection of beers, hearty fare - and a wonderful patio to sit outside until the sun goes down (you can even get some glimpses of sun in December!) round out...

A shame and a pity!! A well designed place, good space, nice bar, good audio and video system, three different atmospheres, great outdoor space, arguably reasonable prices, doesn't sound bad does it? All is lost with the service, a total disappointment, no customer service just looking for a tip without even earning it, rude, cold and unprofessional. A beautiful, soulless, heartless place that looks like one of those movie sets, that's all it is, a beautiful setting with no soul and a lousy customer service.
