Great quality, great price, great food!
Entering the place it may seem really small (which it actually is), but apart from the 2 or three tables you see at the front, there is an entrance at the right which leads to anither room with those really narrow tables and pillows to sit down.
By taking a look at the menu, you will immediately see that there is a vaste choice of dishes including soup, bibimpab and dsongol (for 2 ppl.), udon and bulgogi. It is written in German and Korean, but maybe they have an English version as well... The beverages are also no joke. They go from tea to korean lemonade to water which is actually cheap (water is the most expensive thing in all of Berlins restaurants) to, of course, soju!
Being 5 people we ordered a kimchi-pancake as a starter, 2 bibimpaps, a bulgogi and a squid-grillplate. They brought us a plates which three little bowls each, containing salad, kimchi and fried tofu. Then all the other dishes arrived. They were absolutely delicious!!! You have to cook the meat/fish yourself, but that's normal for Korean restaurants. It tasted really good and was actually pretty spicy! Also they brought us a nice mixture of little side dishes to eat with the squid and veggies.
If you're not looking for something big to eat, this place also sells Korean products such as Peperos, Kanchos, Shrimp chips and other packed goods, but also milk tea and beauty products!
I totally recommend this place to anyone who loves...
Read moreWe ordered a veggie grill, and the price is just a rip-off, I'm afraid. 39 Eur for a big plate of mixed vegetables (on the grill plate-lets say 1.5 average serving, of course for 2 people) is just crazy, which is 28 euros on the online menu. The service and the atmosphere are great, but dining out is not only for the service and atmosphere but also for the food. Many people have mentioned it's authentic, but it's way far from authentic from what I grew up with. I'm not Korean, but I grew up with lots of Koreans. This food is nothing close authentic, way too sweet, and salty! I don't really want to waste the money, so we finished the food, but we really regretted that we did, cause the amount of sugar just makes...
Read moreWe didn't make reservations for this evening anywhere but were looking for some korean food. Our usual korean place was packed and we walked around and found this place.
Atmosphere is very quiet, we sat right next to the till.
I had a bibimbap with tofu (always the benchmark meal for me at a korean restaurant) and a Swiss beer as they were out of Hite.
The meal began with a starter salad (not very authentic for korean), some kimchi and a third banchan that I can't recall right now.
The bibimbap felt a bit lacking of vegetables and was prepared with some fancy tofu. What I found odd was the greens added on top. It was a filling meal but nothing...
